I've had a slew of trucks, most recent was a 2024 Ford F350 HO. I tow, I need a bed, I need rugged.. None of them below j previously owned were "rugged". I don't tow far, don't care about towing 14,000lbs 60,000 miles, I need simple rugged with a hitch. Cybertruck is the answer.

The power of a Tesla with the need of a truck. Had Model S's for 5 years now. I hope I don't miss the 0-60 .7s difference of my S, but couldn't justify the wait or 20k of the beast. I exercise the 0-60 at most stop lights.

Reserved CT for fun at launch. Later sold my last truck when I sold my business and bought a MY. Realized how much I miss having a truck in the family for all the little things you can't or don't want to put in a MY. Hard to imagine ever driving another ICE car after having M3 and MY for 2 years for software, features, power and performance. Rented plenty of pickups and none of the bodies are made to be durable and I was forever worried about denting them by leaning up against them or just putting things in the trucks. Won't be a worry with CT.

For better or worse, I’m not the kind of guy who hyper analyzes things and comes up with justifications and spells everything out. I see something that speaks to me and calls me and I get it. The cyber truck spoke to me and called to me and so I got it, I tow ATVs on a trailer multiple times a month at semi short ranges like 200 mile round trips. I currently do that with my wrangler whose tow rating is just 3500 pounds and it sucks for towing. I’ve had a model 3 since 2019 and absolutely love it so this all made sense to me to get a cyber truck.

Powershare. I have many multi-day power outages every year and my Powerwalls can't keep up. The fact that Powershare includes a truck I can drive around in is a sweet bonus.

I'm used to Tesla since my 2013 Model S and 2017 Model 3 (both sold now as I wait for CT); the smooth torque and instant acceleration, quiet application of power to the wheels, FSD and OTA updates, excellent operating system and charging infrastructure, no need to tackle a stealership over price haggling. The "GF unit" wanted two German Shepherds so we need something to haul them around. Also, I'm tired of always paying something like $60 to deliver things I could haul home myself from the store. Finally, I do tactical training 10 miles down a dirt road in the middle of "nowhere, NM" and something like a truck makes sense. I was the only sedan EV in a sea of pickups last time in Colorado and we can't have that now, can we? ;)

There are a few factors:

1) No minor scratch and dent worries
2) Efficiency -- Arguably the most efficient EV truck available
3) Tesla charging network
4) Familiar minimalistic controls
5) Truck things, such as hauling large or dirty items in the bed.

I want an EV and I do light off-roading. I'm a loooong time Jeep owner. No rock crawling or Moab, but more than what a MX or MY can do. The CTs looks do it for me. I'm just not a fan of a traditional pickup trucks vibe or looks (except the TRX).

So the Beast is for me.

It's interesting seeing the drastic disparity in perceptions and opinions when it comes to the Cybertruck. Perhaps the most ingenious marketing tactic by the master mind, maybe just a actualization of Elon's childhood cyberpunk dream. I can go on about why I personally chose the Cybertruck compared to the plethora of alternatives in the $100k-$130K price range. I'm curious what your reason is for choosing the Cybertruck.
I wanted a bullet resistant vehicle and this fits the bill. Will more than likely get all of the windows replaced so that is also bullet resistant.
Also prefer a truck than a car. Can do waaaay more with a truck than a car.

For me it’s wanting a new Truck. Driving a 13 GMC Serria with 45k on it but don’t want to give GM 70+k of my hard earned retirement money. The CT is leading edge and will still be Futuristic for the next 30 years.
so this will be my last truck to buy. It may have 100k miles on it by than and I can pass it on to my Granddaughters.
And yes, as someone said in a previous post we will need the protection of a TANK, essentially driving in NYC !!
RN1144****** so hopefully the ramp up will move quickly.
Trying to fill my piggy bank for delivery in two years ???
Be Safe Shoveling for those dealing with the Snow!!!

My only option since I can't buy a Marauder from Paramount Group and CyberTruck is the next best thing!

Or, when the rear seats are used.
I feel bad for any of my family and friends that have to sit in the rear seats of my MS. đź«Ł

1. Continue to enjoy Tesla Supercharging network
2. Continue to enjoy FSD-- even more so on road trips
3. Replace my dad's ICE truck with an EV truck-- better around the farm
4. Backup power for house
5. 120v outlets for car camping
6. Canyonlands NP White Rim camping/mtn bike support for 2-4 day trip
7. Travel on dirt roads I would not take my Model Y on.
8. More utility than the Model X at similar price
9. No paint damage-- a significant issue driving in Colorado Front Range ski/winter trafffic
10. Its a Tesla. Would have purchased a Rivian but I missed the 'pre-price hike' reservation by 10 days.
11. Will be availble before Chevy EV truck
12. Don't need the towing range of RAMcharger, and don't want to wait another 2+ years
