Went to take my kid to school this morning and the charging cable wouldn’t release (app). Tried it from inside the truck and still nothing. So, I took my wife’s car and when I got back I tried again. I was able to remove the cable but when I got inside to back the truck out of the garage I got all kinds of errors and flashing red warnings.

I was ultimately able to get the truck onto the street using the override but that was intense. It was like driving the truck with the rear wheels locked up. It would hardly move and was really loud as the tires dragged on the pavement.

Tow guy came and didn’t want to drag it onto the flatbed so he gave it a try driving it up. Heard a loud metal clang noise like something releasing and the truck started working like normal again. All the errors cleared up and it was drivable. He towed it anyway of course. While en route we were chatting and he said he’s seen brake calipers seize before after driving in the rain. It got me thinking… the night before It was a downpour as I was pulling into the garage. My gutters must be full because there was a sheet of water coming down as I slowly pulled in like driving through a waterfall. Wondering if it’s related. Anyone else have this type of issue?

TLDR: In the morning after heavy rain, truck wouldn’t drive. Started working when the tow truck arrived. I’m suspicious about the rain.

Man that sucks, but I would agree with Gus - electrical issue for sure. Especially with the cable not releasing.

Yes it was more than a mechanical issue with the whole dash lighting up. Seems to me like there was water ingress somewhere that may have led to it.

I'm guessing some water intrusion shorted something.....keep us posted on the SC diagnosis!

More background:
Normally, functions are powered by both the 48V battery and the 48V DCDC converter in the main pack assembly.
The left control module is responsible for interfacing with the 48V mid voltage battery. An issue with that could trigger loss of redundancy errors.
