Sorry to hear that. Some neighbors are just crap : [

First day into a neighborhood we moved into the old lady next door called the cops on our dog barking (middle of the day). We framed that notice and put it on the wall as a welcome to the neighborhood ; )
A few weeks and we found out our dog wasn't even that much of a barker for the neighborhood. It was just an unfriendly person.

Her kids eventually ripped down the fence between us and her. They didn't tell us, our great dane was in the back yard, I wasn't home, apparently they almost pissed themselves, and I had to rush home. I had told them I wasn't willing to replace the fence for a few months. It was technically on my property and was not falling down or apart. I told them they had to put it back up on the property line, I didn't want it on my property anymore (their dad had previously put it almost 2' over the line so they could fit an RV).
Never got a nice word out of that lady...
Do you still have a Dane? I have one as well and wondering how he would fit in the Cybertruck with the seats folded up - he’s 140 lbs.

Sorry no, I also had the runt of the litter so not a good example. Mine would have fit fine with the larger of the back seats folded up. With both seats up I think an average dane would fit fine. The back doors opening completely horizontal would make him happy too.
I've seen some huge danes that wouldn't be comfortable without a truck bed or opened up minivan @_0

When I took delivery of my Tesla the delivery center screwed in my temp tags weird and stripped the mounting holes.

I have an appointment to fix this on February 19th. Until then I have my temp tag displayed on my dash. There is no rear window so only place to display is dash. I previously spoke to a police officer and they advised that is okay. Yesterday my new neighbor was taking photos of my truck and today two police cars arrived at my house asking me for my registration and why I do not have a plate on rear of the car. Advised they had received complaints. I explained the situation they gave me until February 18th to fix which is the day before my appointment. I am not even sure how Tesla will fix unless they install a new cover or bumper, but surprised my neighbor is so bothered by my truck she called the police.
Once had neighbors call the police on my kitted, candy red 1997 Nissan 240sx drift machine. They gave me an overpriced parking ticket for being a menace to society on my street full of snooze-mobiles.

Some people just can’t handle anything that looks different.

Have Tesla do a mobile service visit (yes, this exists and I just did it last month for an interior repair).

I’d let my dog shit on her lawn, and piss on it hopefully leaving yellow, dead grass.
LOL, I had a friend who lived a couple blocks away. He would often come over to walk my dog to have her poop on his neighbor's lawn.

What about walking over, knocking on the neighbor's door, and talking?
She did not do that so I am betting she would not be receptive and might even call the police again claiming you threatened her.

In Colorado cops can issue vehicle citations for things happening on private property (driveway) ? I'd love to know the source of such authority.
I don't know anything about Colorado but some areas may have ordinances against unregistered vehicles being parked in view. One of many reasons why I prefer to live away from people.

If it were me, I would put the temp plate on the bumper using 3M adhesive tape.

yeah, your truck sitting in your driveway doesn't fit the legal definition of junk or inoperable. I would seriously hit them back as hard as you can. We need to stop tolerating this type of BS.

Sounds like they are attempting to intimidate you. Don't let this slide man. Go after them.

If you want to DM me your neighbors address, I can check Google street views for city ordinance violations. Better yet, if you have an HOA I could probably wreck their entire year.
Maybe were our plastic pigs from broken Britain on secondment, we now live in a police state.

Well, think about it this way... if say you put a mini excavator in your driveway, will cops show up and ask why your excavator doesn't have a number plate ? That makes no sense of any kind. Yes, if a vehicle is parked on a public street, it has to be compliant. But on private property, whether visible or not, I don't believe there is any kind of authority to demand registration.

I refuse to treat my neighbors as "enemies".

Probably depends on the place. Example:

The place I live states that any unregistered vehicles are to be considered “abandoned” and can potentially be taken by the local government if deemed a certain low value.

There doesn't seem to be any consensus in that discussion, and I certainly haven't noticed any citations. I've checked for Oregon and I don't see anything specific at the state level. Counties and cities often create unconstitutional laws that wouldn't survive a challenge in court, but they rarely get challenged because nobody wants to mess around with petty stuff.

I would insist that in the absence of a zoning violation such as running a car maintenance shop out of one's private property, government can't require for vehicles parked on private property to be registered. We do not license vehicle ownership, we license vehicle operation on public rights of way.
