That charger is immense!! Must be some future super-duper charger. Or maybe a future iteration of a super-mega charger.

They keep all the power in the top of these big chargers so when you pull up, the power flows downhill into the truck. Charges a lot faster that way.

I’m going to need to start some serious workouts. The size of the connector with that FAT pipe for all those electrons…. Flowing downhill through that fat pipe is going to take a lot of strength to control.

I know just enough about steel strength to use a few phases I don’t fully understand. So forgive me if this is stupid.

Could they heat treat the metal where the folds will be to make it more ductile at the corners?
with 300 series SS you can anneal using heat but this would not be necessary. 301 SS can be full hard (work hardening) but grades like 304L can only be work hardened to 1/4 - 1/2 hard so it has good properties and can still get minor bends stamped into the parts.

The tech challenges will probably be calculating real world springback and adjusting tooling to make net shape parts. Perhaps Tesla/spacex experiences with Starship parts can provide good analysis tools to get the tooling right with the least iterations.
