I never liked it on the fender and hope they find a more practical and aesthetic place for it.Am I the only one who thinks it’s a REALLY BAD idea to put the charge port exactly where all the mud, water, sand, and ice tend to accumulate on my current truck fender?
I used to work on the E-Transit and it was really convenient to have the charge port in front of vehicle. Didn't have to worry about which side to park on, or backing into a stall. Does anyone know why Tesla went with rear quarter panel location?Really difficult with the tailgate down and a load on top.
As in “Drive aways”?Would be easier to implement a emergency charge cable release as well.
Here it is in the Fender
For clarity, could we define "fender"?The moved the charge port from the fender to eliminate a cut/weakness in the exoskeleton.
I guess they could put it behind the rear license plate, but that might look weird during charging...
