Tesla got back to me and are sending a mobile tech out early next week. It’s a configuration issue that can’t be reset via OTA. Sounds like maybe the firmware can’t select the new sound?

I tried this exact same reboot last night, no luck. Still horneyless. Lol

Diddo. This is ridiculous. I messaged service they pushed the same update I was on and said I had to bring it in for diagnosis. Unreal

Same issue with me no horn. I rebooted both ways and no fix. I let tesla know and since I already had an appt with them they added it to the list, but my service appt is in Jan 7 so it sucks. I hope they release a firmware fix asap.

The newer series already have the new horn sound,,, like a cop car/ fire truck…

Have a service appointment dec 12th. Tesla corporate knew nothing about the horn update. No notes or anything. He set up my local service appointment and put in a note for them to see if they can fix it remotely first.

Interestingly enough, my horn works from the app, but pressing the horn doesn't do anything.

Tesla informed me that safety issues, like no horn after the update, will be verified by service at any service center without an appointment, preferably between 1 pm and 4 pm, 7 days a week and repaired the same day. I am going tomorrow.

The new horn is perfect for the CT. Did the quick two for a couple waving kids and a solid honk for a person cutting across all lanes to get off road within inches of my front bumper......they definitely looked surprised. AWESOME!

I went to Tesla today they said they cant get to the issue as a walk in, need to schedule an appointment. Sucks because the only availability they have is Jan 7. Tesla should just update a fix asap.

The new horn uses a speaker— not a physical trumpet.

Also below: the explanation for why you can’t downgrade (the truck can’t tell if you have a trumpet or not)

So you're incentivized not to do it too much?

But probably so that it's not damped down by the noise canceling of the truck and you can't miss that you've leaned on the horn while making out to maxed tunes?
