I literally just had my truck in for service bc of the smudging in the center of my fov. This was actually the 3rd time I added that during service.

It's also the 3rd time they replaced the wiper arm and motor.

That all said, I used the washer fluid today and it, in my opinion, came out way more evenly and washed the windshield much much better. It also didn't leave smudging.

I am not sure if this is a rev bump, but they did replace it after mentioning it. I have to assume they tested and saw for themselves.

Interesting you got a different part number than I did… Can you tell a difference in the blade from before?

i just got my arm, blade, and motor replaced and camera cleaned by tesla. can confirm that wiper fluid now jizzes much nicer and more than before, and even when dry wiping, it doesn't squeak like it used to.
What’s your blade part number on the invoice?

I still dont understand the actual change in the wiper design apart from adifferent compound used which has been mentioned . additionally they replace the motor as well in some instances . IS this a updated motor fast
Two people have said the spray is better with a new blade. Mine is not, but I’m not sure I even got the updated part since someone else has a different part number…

I can take a picture in a bit, see if that shows you anything. But I probably won't video the wipers fluid bc I wanna be moving so my clean truck doesn't cry fluid.

My question is whether the new arm/blade wipe the windshield any better. Between streaks and using a LOT of washer fluid to clean the windshield the version I currently have is by far the most problematic feature for me on my Cybertruck. Second would be the useless rearview mirror but at least sometimes (when it isn't dirty) we have a rearview view.
Agree. Also when I clean my windshield from the outside I can see what look like permanent visible markings on my windshield that don’t seem to go away when I clean the truck. Although, from the inside, I cannot see them. I think it’s from all the dry wipes.

I’ve been using Chemical Guys CLD30116 HydroView Ceramic Glass Cleaner, Water Repellent & Protective Coating

Has really helped
Blade even glides smoothly on random automated dry wipes

Does this negatively impact FSD / cameras?

I remember reading in the owners manual not to apply RainX or other coatings on the windshield….

No issues for me.
Just benefits
Although I’ve read that as well.
And it’s possible that some coatings could be problematic and they make that statement to avoid liability…

You would think that would imply a higher rev or different part for you all together.

Typically, the -00 is the rev or letter in place, but I have never worked at Tesla can't say how they issue pn's. That is interesting. You try googling the pn's yet? I will when I get a chance.

I also just noticed it was only two parts. For some reason I thought the motor, arm, and blade were three separate parts.

Good idea

Response:

The part with the revision number 1853255-00-D is more recent than 1853252-00-D, based on Tesla’s part numbering system.

Tesla’s part numbers typically follow a format where the first set of numbers indicates the base part type, and the final alphanumeric suffix (e.g., “00-D”) specifies the revision level. Parts with a higher numerical base number (1853255 vs. 1853252) are generally more recent or specific versions. The 00-D indicates the same revision level of the respective parts.

Damn, you're quick! Thank you... and congrats. Maybe my quality wiping is only a matter of time, let me compare to my last 2 invoices. I could have done that before... but, hey!!! We learned something together. ?

Update: Yeah... same PN in the last one. First time they just removed and reinstalled to realign and adjust tension.
