Tesla !
My Cybertruck that’s been in service since July 19th after being rear-ended. As a loyal Tesla customer who’s supported the brand for years and even paid extra for the foundation, I’m feeling pretty let down by how things have gone so far.

It took 3 weeks just to get an estimate, and now I’m being told it’ll take another 3 weeks to assemble after the parts finally arrived. I get there are challenges, but that kind of timeline isn’t acceptable, especially for someone who’s stuck by Tesla from the start.

I’ve shown my support for Tesla, and I really hope Tesla can show a bit more appreciation by speeding things up and keeping me in the loop. Can you please give me an update and let me know how this can be resolved faster?
I don’t understand. Tesla doesn’t do body work, at least not in my area. My insurance company sent me to different body shops and ‘they’ do the ordering and work. I had a fender bender last year that the Y was in the shop for 7 weeks. Not Tesla’s fault at all.

It takes time to get repair shops up to speed, especially on a NEVER BEFORE worked on vehicle for early adopters. But to say DON'T BUY is harsh.
Not harsh, ridiculous.

I have learned over the years to not use Tesla SCs as a body shop. Take it to an authorized repair shop and you will get much better service as they have an image to maintain and standards to keep ?

It took my CT 1.5mo to be repaired after a deer hit me. Part of that was waiting for 3 front bumper covers as they arrived damaged in shipping multiple times.

Cannot say the same for the 2024 Tacoma owner that was yelling at the shop when I picked up my CT. Said he has been waiting 3mo. The shop was explaining to him that Toyota doesnt even have parts for the car yet.

Moral of the story, dont get in an accident with a new car. If you do, you will be waiting.

LOL. This topic is silly.

Hot tip, don't buy the first year of a new vehicle if you are impatient or have no chill. Often there are gremlins to be worked out and repairs will take longer. This is not a Tesla only thing. Ford, Toyota, or any vehicle maker will have the same type of turnaround in this situation.

Also, there is a reason car insurance companies offer rental coverage. It's because collision repair takes a long time even in ideal situations.
Fake News! Everyone knows only Tesla have gremlins..oops!

good to know, I'm waiting because I'll need a car I can rely on, and speed-to-recovery is definitely part of the equation. It's nice to be in a forum with people who can afford the cybertruck as an extra vehicle to drive around on Sundays, but if I can't get to work it's a major pain and expensive.

My current old car never spends more than 3 days at the mechanic.

I agree completely with you. I own two teslas and I have bought stocks., therefore I would likeTesla to improve and correct the mistakes and gaps. Post like your should help the company to make the necessary adjustments fast. Tesla wake up.

Exactly, definitely not a reason to not purchase a “revolutionary” vehicle

Tesla really needs a serious competitor, I have the 2022 X & CT, I agree that they suck at customer service and even worse if anything happens to your vehicle, it’s going to take some time.

Acknowledged, but my Model Y experience (non glass only) tells me that it takes a long time no matter who does it. The Model Y body is all welded together so they have to remove all the pieces, cut the damaged part out, get the new part, jig it into place, tack weld in place, weld, grind, do all the priming, painting , and topcoating, and reassemble. When looked at that way 7 weeks sounded fast.

I just took mine in for the 2 recalls and to have some small scratches on the frunk that were there at delivery. Got a loaner, constant updates… and when they couldn’t “fix” the scratches they offered me a new frunk hood and also gave me $1000 service credit. I was very impressed.

Wow, that is impressive. Outstanding! Sounds like your SC should be the benchmark for other SCs to follow. :)
