Be careful with qmerit... They basically dump an installer on you then by agreeing to their online terms you are 100% responsible for the installer you agree to (even though they provided them).

Tesla: Please connect me with a Tesla expert.
Tesla: We are connecting you to an agent. The next agent will be available in 1 minute
Tesla: Successfully reconnected
Tesla: An agent has joined the chat
Tesla: Welcome to Tesla. How can I help you?
ME: Qmerit taking advantage of customers and known incentives. | Communication with 'Tesla Care Team' directly about problems. | Email: EMAIL
Tesla: Hello, I am sorry to hear this. Please detail what exactly has happened. I will take that information and look into getting you to the team that can assist.
ME: It has not happened to me yet. I just reached out to communicate with them. I know multiple others that received install charges that were well over what they should have been had a standard certified electrician done the work.
I am reaching out to find out who I need to talk to in the event I have a similar problem.
I don't want to miss my install window because they are doing the same ting to me.
Thank you
ME: FRIEND, a general contractor and certified plumber, who builds houses I talked to this morning about his experience.
Tesla: Please contact this number and explain this to that team they can look into this further and assist from there.

Select Vehicle, Sales, New Vehicles, then Enter Zip code
ME: Thank you!
Tesla: Of course, Thank you for contacting us and for being a Tesla customer! I hope you have a great day.
Tesla: You may receive a survey via email about your interaction with me. The first part will ask you about my service I provided, the 2nd will be on Tesla in general. It’s a scale of 1-5, 1 being bad and 5 being good. I would really appreciate it if you can fill that out for me in regard to my assistance with your concern. Thank you for being a valued Tesla customer!

Here is section 2 of their terms.

2. We are Not Licensed Contractors, and You Are Solely Responsible for the Installer You Hire
We are not a general contractor or a licensed contractor of any type, and neither we nor the Program Sponsors are performing the installation services and are not managing or overseeing any Installer who performs services. While certain service providers are visible as Installers on our Website, once those service providers submit evidence of having met specific criteria set by us or our Program Sponsor, neither we nor the Program Sponsors endorse nor are responsible or liable for any Installer, nor any of their related claims, data, advertising, products, goods or services available or unavailable from, or through, an Installer or any other third party. Although we may in many cases collect payment from you, or from a Program Sponsor or from a vehicle finance company, and then process payments being paid to the Installer for the work the Installer is doing at your home, we are not the Installer, and we are not responsible for any of the work performed by the Installer. Notwithstanding any steps that we may take, your determination of which Installer to select, as well as your dealings with, or participation in promotions with, any other Installers and any other terms, conditions, representations or warranties associated with such dealings, are between you and the Installer exclusively. You should make whatever investigation or use whatever other resources that you deem necessary or appropriate before hiring or engaging any Installer. Please carefully read our Disclaimers and Limits of Liability in Section 3.

I have done the initial sign up and a contractor was assigned but I haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks now.

Going through much the same issue just trying to get what I ordered, PowerShare. One of the reasons I ordered the truck living in Florida. I can’t get through to anyone. I was given an email addres of [email protected] and even the email was rejected.

Your Limited-Edition Foundation Series Cybertruck is Ready to Order
As an early reservation holder, you have been invited to order your Foundation Series Cybertruck with early access to delivery.

Your Cybertruck will be fully optioned and will include limited-edition laser-etched badging, premium accessories, charging equipment with Powershare home backup hardware, all-terrain tires, Full-Self Driving capability and more.

Deliveries have begun in California and Texas, with more states in 2024.

then I received a note that they are giving me charging credit and shop credit…no powershare. Not even a discussion.

in Florida, this is called bait and switch and clearly illegal.

if enough owners are going through this it may be just as easy to have a class action law suit.

A letter to Tesla from multiple people who are affected by this may not be unreasonable

Contact a local Electrician to inspect your hardware and electrical panel for one, not only current electrical codes but also for proper earth grounding etc.. Even Tesla when installing Solar roofs install new grounding rods to meet their strict standards on grounding etc. to the gateway and inverters and as well have that ‘extension cord’ verified to handle back feeding of current, specifically the gauge of wire that extension cord utilizes, as well I would think back feeding into your panel via that 60A breaker may need upgraded as well and with no ground faults type breakers.
Also update or verify the firmware on your current wall connector as Tesla has made several changes to support this ‘power share’ featurewWith existing and new wall connector hardware.
80’ plus the original 25‘ is a good distance to be introducing additional resistance thereby adding heat into the equation, again depending on rated gauge of cable in the extension cord.

You might also need a local permit depending on your geographical location and if like here in Pa they do not require inside wiring permits but certainly do with any outside electrical additions or modifications to service feeds.

Afterwards, I would still visit the panel during any back feeding to confirm of any heat build up on either the charging equipment side or with the breaker in your panel that may seem out of ordinary or specs.

We dont need MSM kicking out articles next, saying ‘another house FIRE introduced by TESLA and defective PowerShare from TESLA that started the FIRE.. all anyone will then read and record in their mind is TESLA house FIRE.
Heck I’ve seen articles planted that a Tesla started a garage fire and in the article photos it showed a gas vehicle and burnt to a crisp (you could clearly see the gas flap on the car at different angles), but people only see the headlines.

Don't be dense, the $2500 shop credit is enough to buy the included Powershare equipment. Which is what they promised. You are owed nothing more than what they are already providing.

If they did indeed get $2,500 in store credit versus part store and part Supercharging. With all the variations that occurred, they may not have.

I am an attorney in Texas and they are starting this crap with me. I just asked them to initiate the complaint process and I may take them to arbitration over the $4000. I never say anything about $2500 when I purchased it was up to $4000 credit and the equitment.

Would be good if you can add some of us to a mass complaint if possible!
