No credit for Cyberbeast owners after May 22

This has probably been hashed over many times, but was there any statement that the "order" had to be delivered before the May date? I went back and forth with their sad customer service and finally got to a manager and told her that I placed my reservation in 2023, I was ready to purchase the Cyberbeast anytime after that. It was not my fault that Tesla could not produce enough vehicles, but they should be responsible for their advertising which we relied on when we placed our orders. She just basically said too bad. Just trying to get an idea of how many were in the same situation. If we have enough ppl affected, maybe legal can help. They were sued by owners for range misrepresentation and auto/self driving misrepresentations.

The order had to be placed (not delivered) before May 23rd which was the day the Powershare wording changed on the order page.

Unfortunately Tesla didn't communicate clear guidance about the PowerShare credit and this why there are so many confused sales and support staff members. Frankly, I feel bad about them.

I’m schedule to take delivery Friday and just realized this benefit is no longer included. I placed my order in Dec 2023 and now because of their incompetence just realized it’s no longer part of my original deal. This is the final straw. Walking away from this expensive mistake. Just amazed there are so many Tesla fans. It is by far the worst customer service experience in my life.

It's order date, not delivery .
If you placed the actual Foundation Beast order with $1k deposit in December 2023, you should be getting the $4k installation credit and UWC/Gateway combo.

If you ordered a Cyberbeast before May 23, 2024, here’s what you can expect:

Within two weeks of when your vehicle is assigned, we will email you a survey to collect information regarding your interest and eligibility for Powershare Home Backup installation.
We will confirm if your home is eligible.
If your home is not eligible, you indicated in your survey that you are not interested in Powershare Home Backup or you didn't complete the survey, you will receive an alternative offer of either Supercharging credits or a Tesla Shop voucher. Your Supercharging credits or Tesla Shop voucher will be available within two weeks of completing your survey or taking delivery of your vehicle, whichever is later.
If your home is eligible and you have a Powerwall, you do not need a Powershare Gateway. Instead, you will receive an alternative offer of a Tesla Shop voucher. Your voucher will be available within two weeks of completing your survey or taking delivery of your vehicle, whichever is later.
If your home is eligible and you don’t have a Powerwall, we will connect you to a Certified Installer once your vehicle delivery date is scheduled. The installer has been specifically trained to install Powershare Home Backup and will be the only installer available for installation.
The Certified Installer will reach out to schedule a time to visit your home. After the installer visits your home, the installer will provide you with an installation quote. Powershare Home Backup installation cost depends on installation configuration and complexity.
Once you accept the quote, the installer will prepare for installation and take care of the required permitting. If you decline the quote, we will provide an alternative offer of a Tesla Shop voucher. You must communicate your offer rejection to your installer. Your voucher will be available within two weeks after your Certified Installer informs Tesla of the rejection or your vehicle delivery date, whichever is later.
Once the permitting is finalized, the installer will begin installation. Installation typically takes one day. If required, the installer will coordinate final inspection with the local permitting department.
If Powershare Home Backup is compatible with your current energy system, it can take up to a week after installation is complete for Powershare activation to appear in the Tesla app. If your energy system is not currently supported, you can expect Powershare activation to appear in the Tesla app by the end of the year.

I’m able to apply my install credit towards Powerwall instead which is what I really wanted. I didn’t realize that Powerwall is PowerShare with solar and battery.

I feel your pain! It’s incredibly frustrating when companies change terms last minute, especially after you've committed. Sharing your experience on platforms like PissedConsumer or Trustpilot could help others looking into Tesla. You deserve transparency, and it's disappointing to see such poor customer service. I hope you find a better vehicle that meets your expectations!

Same here. I was discussing it with a Powerwall installer and it looks like a Powerwall install may work out better in the future albeit the additional cost. If you don't care about paying the power company, then one Powerwall is the equivalent of the cost of a PowerShare + install. Now if you use the crazy Qmerit estimate that I received ($19k) then that would cover two Powerwalls and you would have some leftover. Adding solar increases the cost another level.

I told the installer that my expectation is I’ll pay for the Powerwall ($9300), permits and taxes and the install, gateway 3, and universal wall connector will be covered by the $4500 install and $2500 hardware credit.

I was going to do an eg4 18k and battery for $8500 so hopefully a small additional cost for a better more integrated product.

I have up to 19.5 kw of panels that I’m building the rigging

You can ask to add the credit to purchase agreement for formal guarantee but I bet delivery team will not be able to do anything at this point.

If you check purchase agreement there are instructions how to submit formal complaint to legal department. One caveat is that unless you explicitly opt out of arbitration by mail in first 30 days you cannot go through small claims and have to take arbitration route.

I didn't even know they removed the $4k credit but left the price the same on the beast... I bought a truck early (march) then placed a new order for a beast in Aug.... they should have made that clear, there was no "credit" on the new order as my previous orders showed it as part of the beast package.... they should really just give every beast owner that doesn't get the PS (or can't like me) the $4k and call it a day... theres not a lot of us out here anyway.

I'd reconcile this as an early adopter perk for the earliest cyberbeast owners that had to beat the path with PowerShare installers. We were the guinea pigs for those installs.
