Ok, but the Premium Dual Motor AWD and The Cyberbeast both use the premium HVAC, I assume, correct?
Yeah they both have it! The only models so far with the weaker blower system is the SAWD and (I think) the old RWD model.

I’m guessing this is where Tesla was able to shed a few bucks.
I am sure Tesla is going down the list of things they didn't list on the truck when being initially offered , and now removing options. Not surprising at all. Don't like it. Tesla would rather you buy the premium anyway.

The cyberbeast foundation is the best cybertruck on the road! Alcantera everywhere and lots of other nice standard options and when I go to cars and coffee and all the porsche and corvette owners come by to badmouth my ā€œuglyā€ truck - Zi casually mention that 0-60 this ugly truck is faster then every sports car in this parking lot! That usually wipes off their smirk. But

May sound silly to some but the HEPA filter is one of the best features of the Cybertruck and other Teslas.

I had both a 2020 Model 3 and 2023 Model 3 - neither of them had HEPA filters. Upgrading to a '24 Model S and now a Cybertruck, it is very obvious the HEPA helps with typical exhaust from traffic. I basically never smell anything from outside!

Agree 100%, the HEPA is a massive benefit that's very noticeable going between our Model 3 and Model Y.

Premium Dual Motor AWD and The Cyberbeast owners breath premium air in our cabins.

I thought under normal mode, the HVAC bypasses the HEPA filter and uses the much easier to flow through standard filter. In DC traffic I can't tell you how often I switch on Bio Defense Mode to stop the .... skunk... smell from coming in. Last thing I need is to show up at work smelling like that!

Info only: That can be turned off if you don’t use it. I turned it off for my CT.
Wow... I should've known this. 🫔

There's no bypass, as the CT only has the housing for one filter (either HEPA or in the SAWD a non-HEPA filter). Air goes through the same filter whether you enable BWD mode or not. What BWD mode (at least in my MX, should be the same in the CT) does is make it so that outside air is forced through the HEPA filter (ie. no recirculation) at such a pressure that the cabin pressure is higher than the outside pressure (aka positive pressure), which prevents leaks from the outside coming in. Air can only come into the cabin through the HEPA filter and nowhere else.

I'm going to cite the MX as an example. I have 2 MXs, one with and one without BWD mode. They both use the same size blower, but the blower in the car with BWD mode goes to its screaming MAX, while the max setting in the non-BWD car is technically not maxed out at all. BWD mode can be purchased afterward which enables the screaming MAX BWD setting and a HEPA filter, that's it. Some people opt not to purchase BWD setting and just buy a HEPA filter, but as stated, the blower is not creating that positive pressure to prevent leaks from coming in.

I’ve been thinking and it’s probably a good use of $20k to step up and get the Premium AWD for a stronger blower.

Marketing 101. They deleted just enough standard features to make buyers think twice before placing their $59,990 order. No adjustable air suspension was the biggie.

I’ll be fine with just using the HEPA filter Tesla sells without biodefense mode. I’ll just crank the blower to max and hope for the best. The $59,900 price is too good even with everything that’s been removed. PowerShare and the tonneau are what sealed it for many imo.

Same. My only regret will be the 15 speaker but I’m sure there will be aftermarket upgrades.
