I haven't read or posted anything since Thursday 4/25 at 2pm, as that is when I took delivery of my BEAST aka The Silver Prophet which is replacing The Ginger Prophet my Signature Model S #207.

This will be a bit of a manifesto so you might want to get comfortable! Over the last 4.5 years I have enjoyed nothing more than keeping track of EVERYTHING Cyber related and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every post on this forum. To all that have posted and replied, thanks for your input, feedback and stories that have helped bridge the gap from order to delivery.

A little background - I got in on Tesla very early as my son dragged me into the very new Tesla store at Park Meadows back in 2010. All they had was a roadster and with three little kids at the time I needed that like I needed a hole in the head. The sales person said they had this new sedan coming out and for a fully refundable $5k I could get on the list. So home I went with order 5,600 or so and started doing a ton of research on Tesla. At the time it was Tesla or Fisker and Elon said you really can't be the best of both you are either an excellent ICE or excellent all Electric and I was sold. They still had 5 spots left on the Signature list so after all my research I jumped in for additional $$ down and moved my order up to Signature #996. In true Tesla fashion, I ended up getting #207 probably because they had a truck with space on it delivering a car to Elon's brother up in Boulder. I say this because I was definitely on the bleeding edge of the Model S and while it was fun to be first, I also told myself I would never do that again. No cameras, no parking sensors, no weather stripping on the passenger side door, all handles replaced over time due to first-generation issues etc. etc. On the flipside, the customer service was unbelievable as there were so few of us that even had a car.

Fast forward to today and here we go again - not quite as bleeding of an edge but early indeed. My stats are below:

1) The first 5 digits of your RN#. 11274
2) The date you configured your truck. 12/19/2023
3) The date you received your VIN assignment (if known) 04/19/2024 (120 days from configure)
4) The number range of your VIN i.e. 5600, 1200 (if known) 79XX
5) The Date you took delivery (if known) 4/25/24
6) Your state CO, let's go CO!!
7) Your truck BEAST
8) Shares Program: Yes, but no idea if this had an impact?

My delivery experience:

VIN assignment. I never received an e-mail the VIN just showed up in the app during one of my three to four-time daily app refreshes. I thought perhaps once I had a VIN I could click on the chat button in the app and get more info but that was never the case. I got a phone call from Tesla Aurora three days after my VIN assignment indicating the truck was on site and I could pick it up as early as Thursday 4/25 which of course I said yes please!!

Once I got the VIN the app asked for insurance info as well as final payment. After reading about people loading both and not having a truck I decided not to jump at paying insurance and for the truck up front. I have farmers and with a VIN you can get a quote that shows the VIN and ID number as well as expiration date so I took a picture of this and loaded it into the app as my "proof of insurance" and did nothing with the "final payment" When I confirmed delivery timing they did ask about insurance and I said I would have that and a cashiers check in hand for delivery and they were good with that. I only say all this to let others know that I don't think paying immediately or having insurance before you even have the truck will make things any quicker.

For those tracking Insurance Costs, mine is right at $900 for 6 months. Farmers has a replacement level that was an extra $17 that essentially pays out the full retail price of the car in case of a total claim for the first two years. Seemed worth the extra $17. I do have one kid still on the policy so that doesn't help.

Pre-pickup paperwork all looked good with the exception that the order agreement listed "Lifetime Premium Connectivity" and the final paperwork did not. I did get in writing that this is still included. Otherwise, everything was as expected. Be sure and double-check your tax situation ahead of time. A quick shout out to M0unt41nm4n who has a great Colorado tax thread here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...-on-orders-incorrect-co-residents-read.12717/

Delivery Checklist shoutouts:
I started with the free version from Tesbros here: https://blog.tesbros.com/tesla-delivery-checklist/ and ended up paying the $5 for everyday Chris' version here: https://everydaychrisofficial.com/delivery-checklist/. I know some people pushed back on the $5 cost but I decided with a truck that costs more than my first house it is probably worth it and I can confirm it is a great list with pictures and Chris did some good work here. I would recommend it.

Tesla Aurora scheduled me for a 2pm delivery. I got to the store right at 2pm and the Truck was in a staging area - no red carpet or smoke show but the truck was in a special area and fully washed and ready for review. A shout out to Aurora Tesla as my experience was just perfect. Upon arrival, they opened the car and let me take my time reviewing everything. There were two other lucky souls taking delivery at the same time I was (both AWD). I am probably butchering his name but Akio was at the ready to address any issues with the finish and took care of a couple spots that needed attention due to stickers that had been on the car. He followed behind me for a bit and removed my fingerprints as I was touching everything :) Outstanding!!

As far as being on the bleeding edge again I can tell you Tesla has figured it out. The only issue I could find was a wrinkle in the weather striping on the rear passenger door which is likely due to it not being fully set (picture below). The rep noted it and said if it doesn't settle they would resolve it. I did ask if there was any mileage or time issue that I had to call out a problem and the rep said no just put it in the app if there is an issue. I have read that some have been told 100 miles I did not hear this.

Driving - OMG there are plenty of reviews here so I will not get into it but suffice it to say it is worth every bit of the price we are paying. I was worried but I will tell you there is NOTHING like it. Just absolutely outstanding. It is hard to explain but it is like sitting in your living room driving this beast and it is just otherworldly. I am even more excited with my purchase after driving it.

Window tinting - I plan to do this and if anyone has a good recommendation in Denver please shout out. I have already experienced the filming, googling etc and look forward to a little more tint in the front windows.

To wrap or not - I do not currently plan to wrap it but we will see if that changes over time.

Accessories - I did purchase the Amazon wheel covers and lug nut covers and they are a game changer! Pictures below.

Powershare - I have an approval letter on this but otherwise no update. I asked the dealership and they said there should be more info in a couple weeks but I think that was a guess.

Foundation Accessories - all included. One note, the carpet floor mats were hidden under the all-weather mats.

Wheel covers - will be mailed to my house when available.

I'm not saying goodbye but I no longer feel the need to read everything every minute!!!

IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! JUST OUTSTANDING I HOPE YOU GET YOUR TRUCK SOON.

I want to say Thank You for the detailed write up and I'm encouraged that CyberBEASTS are starting to roll out of the factory. My order date was about a week after yours so hopefully I will be getting a VIN shortly as the same amount of time has passed for you to get yours. I look forward to your continued reports! BTW I submitted for the stock shareholder thing as well and only received a thanks for submitting message but never anything after that so no idea if that is helping or hurting. :)

Oh can you send me the link to the wheel covers you ordered off Amazon?

Enjoy being on cloud ☁ 9. Unfortunately, the high will fade over time as with anything else. I don't have my truck yet and already feel my excitement leveling off
I guess it depend on your person personality, but it definitely hasn't for me yet. And coming from owning a Tesla for over 6 years, it never really does. There's always a new update coming, and just punching it once a drive still makes me smile! BTW, they never feel old either...

But maybe depends on the car in question and the frequency of use. I still feel a little excitement when i drive my modded f360 but i attribute that to only driving it once or twice a month. It would be ordinary if i daily drove it.
Yeah, that's a gas car, I don't know how you can compare it to a pure electric drive. Even a Ferrari feels clunky and ancient compared to Tesla's least expensive car, the Model 3. This is the 21st century! Even my Ducati motorcycles have lost their appeal. I think the formerly intoxicating sound of the 90 degree V-twin desmodromic engine was only intoxicating because I associated that sound with a powerful forward thrust. Now that I know that sound is not necessary, and I get more instantaneous throttle response from a pure electric drivetrain, the combustion engine just feels like an antique, not as bad as a farm implement, but along those lines in comparison to the whir and instant response of electric.

I don't understand people who still wax poetic about outdated technology, even if it once was state-of-the-art. There's nothing like the "clip-clop" of horse hooves on cobblestones either, am I right? ;)

The CT has increased the feeling even more. When I drive my model 3 occasionally, it feels so old. And that’s not a knock on the model 3 (or for that matter other ICE vehicles), but until steer by wire and rear steering is more mainstream, the truck will continue to feel bleeding edge. I really did underestimate the impact that would have.
