Hey there North Carolinians! I got my vin today, but haven't heard about the power wall installers yet. 1. For those that have received theirs, I'm assuming y'all don't have it installed before delivery, how are you charging? 2. Any est amount of the install yet? 3. What are your plans for the CT? Keep, Turo, sell?
Congratulations! The power wall installers have been in touch for quite some time but nothing scheduled yet. The total due to them is $4,139.03 based on the pictures I sent them of my electrical box, etc. Could be more when they get on site.

I already have 240V available in my garage so I’ll use that to charge until the install occurs. I plan to have fun with the CT but also be opportunistic with its ability generate revenue. Turbo is interesting but would certainly make it available thru Tesla’s ride summon network, based on what I am hearing about that service.

BTW, I got my VIN 16-Apr and still don’t have a delivery date FWIW.

I have solar and a powerwall backup already at my house. Tesla is gifting me a $700 store credit. I’m going to use it to buy the universal wall charger and have the same company, Renu Energy, that did my solar and powerwall install take care of the charger. I won’t get the credit until 2 weeks after I take delivery. I have a 240 charger to hold me over until I can get that taken care of. I also plan to keep my CT and have lots of fun with it.

Alas, just got my VIN in CLT after 99 days. Just provided proof of insurance. Now it’s saying they’ll notify me of pre delivery tasks. What’s the timeline on the next steps? How long after providing proof of insurance did it take to schedule delivery?

That’s great! I’d say max a week now that the hold seems to be solved.

Duke energy is reimbursing NC customers for the cost to install an Ev charger at their home. Up to $1133 per charger. I did it last year for my Model x and i got the check back in less than 30 days. The process was simple. You can do up to 2 vehicles per household. Here’s the link

Thanks so much, definitely going to take advantage of this. Tesla will cover my charger and now Duke Energy will cover the installation.

Any update? I’m not far behind you at day 97.
Got a VIN and Delivery
Locked up on a Supercharger 7 days later and went Black. In shop for 10 days and counting now. Feeling frustrated. Loved it while I had it!
