They did bring two for the mobile service visit just minutes ago. Though I believe SanJuanCT is planning to DIY. Don't know if he obtained two or not. Having seen it go in, I fully expect something compatible could be obtained from a local store.

Both the extra slat and the new foam were done under warranty for the BEST PRICE: $0!

You will need TWO of the foam gaskets. You won't use all of the second one, but ONLY ONE will not cover the entire length. The parts page says:

I think there are more Tesla internal Subs that we don’t have access to on the service page.

But all of this is based off of what one technician said, maybe it’s not an actual SB. My SC couldn’t find anything on it. I gave them the part number and the foam.

Going to send them these photos too and see if I can sway them to just put it on for me. My truck is in there getting other slat work done and they have it through tomorrow.

Only two bolts to remove ... but that applique was recalcitrant both coming off and going back on. If you can get the SC to do it, that would be a win. The way it fit in there did not make obvious sense to me. The service guy had to work pretty hard to get the bolts back in.

I stopped the leak by following a guide on YT, basically cramming a generic seal between the roof glass and the applique. If water gets past that point, it will need to go somewhere, so preventing ingress is key.

But even that tiny seal made reinstallation challenging. I had to put weights on the applique corners to get the bolts back in lol

@pae1andonly I actually had the same thing done (new sealing foam) at the Presto SC April 9th and it fixed my leaking as well. Completely dry even in downpours. Only time I get water ingress is when I use a pressure washer and it's still not much.

Might have to look into this, slat was added year ago. She leaks pretty good in the passenger corner.
