I uploaded that document in this post:

_ Cybertruck Off Road Lightbar Harness Connection _
"This document provides third-party MV accessory information for the Cybertruck. It locates the roof accessory jumper harness and provides information to safely splice the off-road lightbar harness into the jumper harness for an off-road lightbar that is currently installed on the vehicle. These instructions should only be performed by trained professionals."

Gluing isn't bad. Safelite removes rearview mirrors. This won't be THAT different. It might take a longer piece of string and a ladder or two... LOL
I’m curious what they will charge extra for this. If it’s too much more, I’ll put it in extracted mode and make them work for it.

Personally I like the sleek, clean look of the Tesla bar. Matches the front. light bar. Also, as said previously, the bar can be removed from the glass, albeit not that easily.

Leave it up to Tesla to design some half-ass light bar like this, a
Glued to the windshield? Total joke.

They could have at least had a two-piece install. Maybe glue/seal a backing plate to the windshield, and the light bar itself just attaches to that plate with some set screws and mounting points. Nope, the entire bar just gets caulked to windshield like some Pep Boys after thought.

To top it off, they could easily wire it up but just make you sign some type of waiver that you won't use it on-road. Again, just laziness on Teslas part.

I have a low VIN and won't be installing this piece of crap when I get it soon, so it will be going up for sale asap.

I like the look. At least they are finally starting the process of completing orders that were delivered months ago. The light bar and wheel covers are the only check list items I have left to complete.

Then its on to self parking and supervised FSD....
Interestingly my beast (picked up 9/18) came with the wheel covers.

Connected & working. Here is how I did it, not a recommendation:

Lifted the roof applique using plastic trim tools. Rolled up a towel to hold it out of the way.

Removed the shrink tubing from the lightbar side and stripped back the insulation from the vehicle side to expose wires.

Soldered the appropriate wires together: red to red with blue stripe, black to black with blue stripe, & green to green.

Slid heat shrink tubing – 3/16” (previously put in place) and shrank it using a heat gun.

Slid a large heat shrink tube – 3/8” over the 3 connections for added abrasion protection and shrank that down (probably over kill)

Routed the cable neatly alongside the clip receptacle, checked the wire from the light to make sure it doesn’t get pinched. Snapped the applique back into place.

Tested the light as I went along (after steps 3,5, & 6)

Do you have a "light bar" UI in the Off Road app now, or are you toggling the light bar on/off with the 48v roof feed toggle?

And thanks for sharing and the pics!! Looking forward to seeing it in action.

How half a$$ed of Tesla not to design it with a real terminator. This looks so cheap and last minute.

If it had a termination, tesla might get sued for selling an illegal light bar as it would make it for on road use. Requiring termination means tesla isn’t making it for the truck for on road use.

It’s like how anyone can buy a 80% AR lower, as it’s not classified as a gun. Why doesn’t the manufacture just drill the holes for me?
