I am going to the dealer to talk to them about the Solverado EV. I'm 98% sure I'm going to walk and ask for my reservation back, but I'm interested in hearing the pitch.

Plus one of the few vehicles which has me second guessing my CT is the Hummer EV. I can test drive one while I'm out.

I wonder if it feels like a 100k truck. CT didn't to me.

You meant to say "working" self driving, right? Or maybe I should have put the whole thing in quotes. Ford has made a big deal about Blue Cruise and it is completey ham strung. So what does Chevy really have?

I didn't get the email, but a dealer did call me. If it's anything like Lightning, they gave the dealers the ability to feel out which people they thought would actually buy, before they gave them an allocation. Maybe the email came from a dealership where they just didn't feel like doing things manually.

The Silverado RST was definitely on my radar if the Cybertruck order fell through. Now we know that Cybertrucks are going to happen and now the question, for me, is when. But I take the overall Tesla brand over Chevy any day of the week. That said, I am still holding onto my RST reservation for the moment, and even added an R2 reservation last week :)

If someone called me that was a mistake because I don't answer most phone calls.

I didn't receive the email, either.

I've driven the WT version for weeks. It's a good truck, and the range is really impressive. I was averaging over 420 miles with the "smaller" battery pack.

I feel like the lines are being drawn with which truck does what. If you're towing, Silverado is the obvious choice. If you drive all day for manual work, seems like the choice too. The only issue I have is the price of a work truck, Super Duty is cheaper, so it won't be converting a lot of people who don't care about EVs.

It's actually kinda nice, picking out an EV truck is really easy. If you know your primary use case and budget, the best EV truck question answers itself.

I completely agree. It is priced too high, but if you do a lot of towing or driving and need the utility, the Silverado is a great option. I rented the truck for work, and it was perfect for my use case.

But if you don't need the range and utility, there are more compelling options. From an interior standpoint, the WT version is the most spartan of any of the EV trucks, and I've driven them all except for the Cybertruck.

"Contact your dealer now" is where they lost me.
Why? When I made my reservation they hooked me up with the local Chevy dealer because that is where the truck would come from.
