Ahhh yes, wind can affect range of ANY vehicle just like steep hills would as well. No wonder your CT took such a hit. I remember, when I drove big rigs, how a 15-20 mph head wind would SEVERELY reduce mileage. It was a pretty windy day when they tested. Constant was ~15-20, but more than that 40-45 mph gusts on top of the cold. Which isn't that unusual in this area during this time of the year. I drove around that day for hours (had to go down where they started in Wellington and then up to Laramie) and took a pretty substantial hit in my CT compared to my normal. Mine was actually more than -15% from my normal, but I dealt with a lot more elevation and was colder so it isn't apples to apples.
