Of course day 1 of picking up the CT the overhead gear selector falls off. I can put it back up but the two pressure trim clips are too weak to keep it in place during acceleration or over big bumps.
Does anyone know a solution for this or how tesla has been fixing this? They can't get my truck into service for 20 days.
For what it's worth in very happy with the build quality of the rest of the truck. And I love the truck overall.

I got tired of mine falling off and came up with a fix you may be interested in. I drilled holes in the front and put a screw through each side.Of course day 1 of picking up the CT the overhead gear selector falls off. Where do you apply this?Just get some silicon adhesive like I show below. Its not permanent and you/Tesla can pull it off if they need to get in there.

If a heat gun can fix it, the sun can undo the fix. Here it is. Literally one of my favorite tip/fix posts in the history of this forum.

Inaccurate. I live in Arizona and my cabin regularly gets to 135 or more degrees. Did the fix over a year ago.If a heat gun can fix it, the sun can undo the fix.

Worked well! Hopefully it holds up. Not as hot as Arizona here in San DiegoActually. Looking at the date of the post I did mine in September 25.
if it doesn’t hold up (it should) just put in a service ticket they have revised that part (like many others) and I just had mine replaced as part of recent service since I was getting the front camera housing cleaned anyhow. That said, the best service visit is no service visit.Worked well! Hopefully it holds up. Not as hot as Arizona here in San Diego
