i don't know about you guys but my engineering brain is saying to put some tiedowns from the from of the camper to the bumper and get a new drive shaft and he's good to go. :)

I bet there were other issues here and the frame was probably weakened by improper installation of the camper. Those Dodge trucks have very substantial frames. Also, yes there is a lot of weight past the rear wheels, but really the center of gravity of the camper looks to be close to the rear wheel.

He said something about bumpy roads. My bet is he underplayed that and he hit some big bumps at speed.
