I am posting this because I am curious if it is a fluke/placebo effect or if it is working.

I am half way through a 4000 mile road trip at about the 1200 mile mark I started losing my mind that the truck would continuously ride on fog lines and their subsequent rumble strips(which was not a camera calibration issue since the screen showed it knew it was on the line) and started going through all of my settings at the next supercharger. I found the setting "use comfort drive mode in autopilot" enabled. I unchecked that opting for my current setting, beast, and took off. I am now at 1800 miles and the only time the truck has gone to the edge of the lane is when it is passing or being passed by a vehicle in the lane opposite that it drifts towards.

I am curious if anyone else has seen/experienced this? Let me know if it is just a false positive.

My best guess, is that since comfort mode the steering goes to "relaxed" that fsd interpreted that as like lazy/delayed input for minor adjustments?

Well, I don't know about comfort mode being the issue; but, I mentioned yesterday in some other thread that my truck seems to be driving better in keeping centered within its lane, and staying away from the centerline. I used some pics from a trouble spot to illustrate. Last time I can recall going over the yellow line was back in early June. Glad to see someone else has noticed an improvement.

If you have a foundation series or early model truck try putting in for a service appointment and ask them to adjust the FSD camera pitch angle. It helped for me when I had a 2024 model.

I’ll do that! We almost never use FSD because of this issue. Also, it can’t take a left turn without wanting to drive into oncoming lanes

That is a recently added thing, mine was hugging before they added the FSD comfort mode.

Mine will be fine for weeks and then hug lines for an entire drive. Doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reason to it.

In my case I think it varies with the unreported bug fixes in software releases. Hopefully all of this will be fully resolved in v14. I will say that it has been dramatically improved, in my case, over the late summer releases. It also depends on what stretch of road I’m on.

FSD seemed to be centered well for the past few months, however yesterday was awful as my CT was surpassing rumble strips as the freeway had a few subsequent left and right banking turns, driving like a slow responsive drunkard.
Later that evening it faired well.

The option was added yes, but i can tell that option was enabled (but hidden) prior to this last update based on pedal response when i would try and override the current fsd speed. Stepping on the pedal while in fsd was always sluggish for me. Now that I disabled comfort mode, when I step on the pedal, the truck rockets off.

Mine hugged the yellow line when on the left lane but ever since i cleaned the glass under the camera housing it stopped doing it! Thats what solved my issue and i finally feel relief driving in hurry mode.

Well god dam it! Your right! I turned it off today and it seems to make a difference. Not totally gone but definitely noticeable. I even got on the freeway a little bit today and it didn’t drunk drive over and lines. Good find and thanks for sharing!

Amazing to me folks having this issue regularly. In 8 months of 99% usage happen maybe 2 times. Also lane drifts only certain places on hwy.
