I had to move my PowerShare gateway from my old house to my new here in CA. Well hours after the install the power went out! Plugged my Cybertruck in and within 20 seconds we had power!

Only thing I don’t understand is why the app says we’re still drawing from the grid.

The app is often confused about sources and loads; IDK if it’s the app or the the Gateway. I assume they’ll work it out ?‍♂

Does the app let you go back and look at your history of power usage? I have a home energy monitor that gives me really good detail for how much power things use and has been really useful in tracking down mystery loads. Just wondering if the power share view is comparable.

For reference this is what my current monitor looks like.

Sure does. I can swipe to review history, or change the timescale to Day, Month, Year, or a custom range.

Thanks for the information, I haven’t found a lot of direct reviews of it working.

Do you know if PowerShare works as a UPS if it had already been plugged in? If not, does one powerwall with PowerShare backing it work instantly? I would like for my CNC mill to continue running in a blackout while I finish a job and shut it down the right way.

Without a Powerwall, there is a brief interruption of power before the backup kicks in. I'm using a UPS on my computer equipment.

I configured my Tactical Grey Beast on May 29th. I have not been given the survey yet (or a VIN). Should I be worried about the survey? Maryland, btw.

The Powerwalls have very similar functionality that you can geek out over in the App; it gets old, but IS handy for finding out what is ON. But I've never noticed in seven years that the Powerwall app was ever "confused about sources and loads". I do love the instant seamless grid to battery switch, AND back.

The app initially did not separate the vehicle and house loads, attributing it all to the house. It had other quirks as well, but seems to be behaving at the moment.
