PS with PW is not going to happen. Tesla would at least know a reasonably accurate timeline if they could do it. They don’t and can’t. They still haven’t figured out how wipers work. It will be canceled much like the CT battery, MX and MS. The CT is being repurposed as a delivery vehicle. Tesla has no ROI on further R&D for the current CT.

[returns crystal ball to shelf]
Avoiding a class action lawsuit may give them the motivation to continue the R&D. I'm not sure how good the claims would be, but there are a lot of people who relied on the "promise" of "eventual PowerShare with Powerwall" when they purchased their CT - including me.

It was one of the reasons I justified the purchase of the CT. We are in a time that companies/people can do and say whatever without any consequences. Lawsuit means nothing to these people.

I was mainly talking about someone deciding between PowerShare or Powerwalls, not someone already committed to both. But until they play nice together, I guess my idea is that if you have an outage that becomes extended, then you would naturally trim back the rate of usage in the house, and combined with solar coming in and the reserves in the Powerwalls, you could get by (unless it's also the dead of winter in a northern state when solar is practically useless). And in the extreme and hopefully very rare case that all that runs out, you could power the really critical circuits with cords from the truck. But sure, the huge capacity in the CT would be extremely useful worst-case, and especially nice if fully integrated. And in the case of someone who already has Powerwalls and PowerShare, then of course you'd want it all working compatibly, and would definitely have a legitimate beef with Tesla going back for some time now.

I understand where you're coming from - all solid points. Appreciate the perspective!

It's mid-2026. Anyone get news yet? I recall we had a person or two beta testing this, out there?
😵💫

in all fairness, they do have bigger energy fish to fry

they lead the world with charge on solar
Little more patience
Hopefully Wes Morrill is watching

Patience for a product that was offered prior to production? Not meant to harsh but that seems a bit silly to me. I love Tesla, but they are still a company at the end of the day and we are all customers. They need to deliver on products promised, Powershare and ASS are the biggest two. Customer service and satisfaction is number one in my line of business.

my situation
Tesla solar covers 80% of my use, most days, except dead of winter, min sun production
I have two PW3 at 26kwh
Our trucks have 123kwh
When Tesla enables via software update, the truck battery to be combined with the Powerwalls, for a single or two tiered capacity bank

having over 150kwh of capacity is great, esp in defense of a power outage
But what specific benefit are we missing?
Other than for getting what was promised

Not challanging you, just educating myself

I have three Powerwall 3’s, previously 2’s but swapped via recall, held off on more due to the fact of Cybertruck’s PowerShare capabilities. Our solar and powerwalls generate enough for daily usage but in a scenario of an extended outage it would last about a day at the most. It’s been two years since release, far too long in my opinion.

Yeah, I've lost patience. Was supposed to release in 2024 and was a factor for selecting the truck big time it has slipped multiple times with nothing more than a website date update and email last time.

I'm thinking arbitration request for solution of not in mid-2026 here.

Do you need power wall 3s for the “power share” to work when and if it’s available? My Powerwall 2 recently shutdown (February) and they replaced with a new Powerwall 2 only and said they can’t get me a 3 when asked!!

From original Tesla information PW 2 will work. I’m surprised they swapped mine for 3’s but not complaining at all. Warranty remains the same though. That’s strange that they wouldn’t have swapped yours to 3 as well, mine was done earlier this month.

I just bought the Universal Wall Connector after I learned about the powershare ability to use this with my truck, not being informed about the conflict with the Powerwall. After I installed the wall connector and couldn't powershare, I contacted Tesla and spoke with multiple people for help. No one knew the answer, and only after I asked GROK, did I learn that there was no solution . I them found this site to become more educated about all of our products. Shouldn't Tesla employees be more informed about this problem?

it’s a future feature via massive software update across many components
WC, PW, GW
Also rhe Utility

Combining Cybertruck and Powerwall into one managed virtual battery
Lots to engineer
Flow management
VPP
Scenario management

We’ll get it
Let them cook

I never doubt Tesla, and take into account the complexity and that patience is a virtue. Thanks for your response....my Cyberbeast is by far, the most wonderful purchase of my life. Service is their weakest link .
