TL;DR 50 amp generator inlet with lockout was $1,600 and it works brilliantly. Qmerit quote was $6,652 + burning the $2,500 Powershare voucher = $9,100+. Savings = $7,500.
Indeed, automatic switchover isn't necessarily cheap.

And unlike a generator that with automatic switchover will come on and power the house while you are gone, it's really hard for the Cybertruck to power the house when it's not home.

The Powershare solution, IMHO, really needs utility load shed support to be useful. Texas has seen how well it works and how useful it is.
