So you're saying it's impossible for the circuit to become energized when it's not supposed to be energized. I'm sure you can get it to ninety-nine point several more nines percent reliable, but that one time out of a trillion that it becomes non-reliable it's a death sentence if traveling at speed. I actually agree with you, you could do it and get away with it. But if ten million people do it, sooner or later somebody is going to pay for the failure with their very life.
Never in a million years is it going to pass any type of regulation, and that's what counts. That's why there are no commercial products on the market designed for this purpose.
The question to ask is not "could" you do it? It's "should" you do it? And the answer is NO. You should not.
You couldn't put it on a windshield anyway... the viewing angle is pretty much straight ahead. If you look through the lcd at an angle it always looks dark... this tech is the same as used on 3d shutter glasses.
