Tesla knows (data) that few Cybertruck owners who'd road trip have done successfully and majority of the Cybertruck or pick up truck owners just commute, commute & commute. There's instant disappointment but everybody really loves Cybertruck. I hope Tesla will focus more on smaller trim of Cybertruck with same tech-Cybertruck will definitely dazzle the world-let's be honest/real. ?

Then all of a sudden offer a lower priced RWD that isn’t even a good deal and further more removing the outlets in the bed? In what world does that make sense? If I were a company fleet vehicle I’d at least want that from an electric truck.

Tesla is lucky that there are no other manufacturers licensing their FSD because that is one thing holding me down for the long drives.
NACS is the first real step, once more manufacturers have NACS native, more people will jump ship. Tesla removing parts and features is getting old quick.

Sorry. I disagree. Truck is fine as is. Sure, would be nice to have a bigger battery pack. Sure, it would be nice to have a faster curve. There will ultimately be a faster curve. But… I’ve driven to CO (with and without a trailer), have driven from Dallas down to the tip of Texas. Have towed Boy Scout trailers to numerous campouts. The charging curve is not holding this truck back unless you are a long road trip driver on a very regular basis. For someone who travels a long distance even once a month, this truck is perfectly fine.

Damn. Should’ve kept my 2016 Model S which had just as much range as my CB. ??‍ Starting to feel stupid for defending Tesla so strongly. Having that extender was a huge draw for me since this would essentially extend the life of the truck.

I would imagine the take rate for it was low. And add in the fact that the truck is not selling as well as they had hoped.

But since no other EV trucks are selling very well their best bet is to just sit tight and ride it out as a niche product like the S and X.

The new roadster is the next thing that they need to come clean on. It’s never going to see the light of day, in my opinion. It does not take 8yrs (seven years and six months if you want to be pedantic) to build a new high margin sports car/supercar. Koenigsegg does it in about 4! RIMAC EVEN DID IT IN 6!

These are tiny baby companies compared to Tesla! Koenigsegg has 500 employees. Rimac has 2000 and is in fucking Croatia! ??‍

It’s not happening; and I would be absolutely apoplectic if I had given these guys $50,000.00 … 8 years ago! Or even if I was one of the many influencers who got enough points in the referral program to “earn” a free one. People on here have acted like giving free supercharging to the limited number of us that are foundation series owners would break the bank, well then imagine if they gave out all of the free $200,000 supercars that they promised to MKHB and others. According to chat the known total number is about 80! Just adjusting for inflation the minimum cost of the $200K car would be over $250,000, which was supposed to be the cost of the founders edition.

Reportedly, they’re not even moving the new Junipers in the US. If true, this is a four alarm fire. Either way, the new roadster isn’t happening anytime soon if at all.

To oddly shaped with cells would be my guess, might get another 20k in there that would help but wouldn't move the needle.
Tesla should have delivered a 500mile range truck so when towing we could get 250

Depends on the load, speed, and conditions. But yea, more range is needed.
OR at LEAST pull through chargers with the promised charging speeds.

Exactly my point.
If you use the CT as an around-town SUV the range is fine.
If you are towing and think supercharging for 90mins is "fine" so you can make it 120 miles to the next supercharger then you and I disagree on that.
