Tesla Cybertruck Range is lower than listed with the foundation tires IMG_3977
Sorry if someone already posted this but I think this is kind of lame to be honest. As someone who is planning to use this on long road trips and camping the range was already underwhelming. Now it looks like you’ll need to buy different tires to even get the 340 range. This and the extra $20k and no tax credit has me second guessing the foundation package

It’s been discussed and charted out

it’s not entirely unexpected that Tesla based it’s EPA testing on the street tires

nor that all-terrain’s would be a good 10% lower than street at EPA conditions

at 75mph, ATs likely be closer to 20-25% lower range than ATs

You shouldn't road-trip on off-road tires unless your road isn't paved.

I guess I didn't find it that weird because I already swap tires on my Jeep based on my needs, I'm not gonna road trip on mudders, ew. In ID, most people I know at least have a set of winter tires and a set of street tires at minimum, even if it's only a Corolla. I suppose this is also why I find it odd to spend extra cash on fancy wheels ?

Quite the joker today.

Is it April fools already? :ROFLMAO:

They are barely A/T tyres in my book. The others are slicks.

Yeah definitely wouldn’t always be paved. We go pretty far out when we camp. A lot of sand, snow and mud.

Have you driven EVs before?

I just took my Model Y from Atlanta to Tampa to Atlanta to Nashville to Branson Mo to Memphis and back to Atlanta. I didn't need the extra range.
Superchargers from here to Tampa are at least every 50 miles.

22 miles in range out of 300 just isn't going to make a difference.

Most people find out that they give out before the battery does. Battery breaks are good times to eat and stretch.

And 10 miles out and back just ain't going to make a difference where you camp.
