Hey all!
My wife and I are new to EVs/Tesla. We acquired our Cybertruck about a month ago. So far we love it!
Today we took our first long-ish trip (about 350 miles total). We had some unexpected range results.
We started the trip with 100% charge. We drove to Hinckley, MN and used the supercharger to charge to about 290 miles. We then drove from Hinckley, MN to Duluth, MN. The trip to Duluth and back to Hinckley was about 155 miles. We ended up at the supercharger in Hinckley with 20 miles left. That’s about 115 miles less than expected.
We then supercharged to about 190 miles. The drive home is about 90 miles. We made it home with 50 miles left. About 50 miles less than expected.
We navigated to the supercharger each time so the battery was preconditioned. The temperature ranged from 25-33. We drove consistently about 75-80 unless in city. No blue snowflake present once we started driving each time.
Any recommendations on what we can do to get our range closer to what is expected? Are we doing anything wrong?
TIA!
