I am planing to go to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park from Rapid City, SD.

Google Map says it is 225 miles and there is no supercharger or any charging post at all in between.

During the summer condition, my sense is that my cybertruck can run about 250-270 from 100% to 10%, but that is a bit nerve racking already.

Anyone has done this trip before? Why are there so few superchargers in this part of the country?!

Superchargering is usually located along highways or interstates. One is trying to connect between the two interstates. There is no connecter in that area. Also very few people. So either continue on to Sheridan and loop around or back to Fargo and North.

Plugshare is your friend, and Bowman, ND has plenty of charging, not just fast. Yet one might only need an hour or less. TR's Park is pretty, and the painted canyons.

Clean that windshield in Dickinson bug central. I would do it without stopping or a major detour, but everyone has a different level of comfort. Have a good trip.

Keep it at 70mph, or below, if there are no charging options

Thank you for your suggestions.

I didn't see any chargers on Plugshare in Bowman, ND. Did I miss something?

Oh, I found them. I have a fast charge filter turned on. Thanks a lot. That seems to be feasible route.

The Ford dealerships I use in emergency. Getting off the supercharger network can be lots of fun. Maybe a bit of work, but so much to see off the interstate.

If one goes a little into Montana. This is one of my favorite small parks. Has pictographs as well. https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nat...tm_source=flipboard&utm_content=topic/montana Medicine Rocks SP

Did you find this app accurate? Is it a plan or your own record?
ABRP is popular tool amongst Tesla owners. You can customize the trips to your needs.

I'd recommend just getting a 240vac genny and use that as a fill in for the wilderness areas that are the northern central states. I have a 4000 watt one that I keep in the bed as a back up. On the 120v 30 amp plug it gives about 9ish mi/hr charging. There are a few that are fairly quiet while running (though they get expensive) that you could leave in the bed with the vault cover cracked/open and just use the mobile charger.
The westinghouse 12.5k dual fuel is 1k and can output 9.5k continuous which the mobile charger peaks at about 7.5k assuming you keep the charger cool.

I didn't get the last paragraph, but still thank you for the tips. I have a CCS and J-1772 adapter with me, and have sold my mobile charger thought I would never use it ?

Generator isn't really needed for this leg. Monitor speed, and one should be fine. This is rural. Speeds are 70, but people drive 60 in this area. Don't worry. Don't buy a generator either.

Thanks for all you suggestions. Made it.

Charged to 100% at Spearfish, chill, under 65, and even get a chance to use the destination charger at Bowman Lodge and Convention Center - had dinner at the restaurant.

Arrived in Dickinson with more than 100 miles left. Looks like I can still make 300 miles in summer with chill mode driving under 65 ?
