In case anyone still has rear view camera delay issues, it's solved by simply updating your software. Here's the NHTSA recall notice:

Good to know how many CTs are in the wild. I hadn't noticed any delay's with the rear view camera....plan to remove the Rear View Mirror this weekend.

Holy cow, there is literally not 1 news site where this is not front page news. They are practically frothing at the mouth for something that impacted almost no one and was fixed immediately.
But a mountain of comments. My co-workers were so worried that they kept telling me they are seeing all the recall headlines. I am surprised my truck has not exploded and taken out half a city block for all the articles that have been written. Holy smokes.

Cybertruck did not meet federal requirements. That non-conformance requires a recall campaign to track and correct the problem.
The use of an OTA software update to mitigate the problem doesn't change the base issue.

the more interesting tidbit is the recall is for 27k cybertrucks and I would imagine--since it's deemed a software issue--that that is the entire run since production began. Depending on how exponential the growth is, that can allow us to estimate the run rate per week. same with the accelerator pedal fix--number of trucks impacted presumably represents all delivered trucks

Especially for something that has probably already been rolled out to the fleet and only impacted about 300 vehicles.
