Anything be having issues with their SC taking forever to repair/service your CT?!

Maybe I’m just venting but it’s almost a month my Ct has been at the Jax, FL SC and just sitting in the sun at 6% battery. I brought it in July 1st and it is still there idling. The advisor pretty much pushed back my completion date 5 times with reasons varying from part isn’t here, we are very busy, we don’t have enough CT technicians etc…. No real status update on the actually project and just apologizes and excuses. I get it but come now it’s not even a critical issue like a motor or battery on my CT. The issues were camera realignment, tonneau realignment, dome light and other parts near the A frame they didn’t correct from the first service back in early June. ? ?

6th reschedule on completion date is imminent because it supposedly will be done today at 5pm…yet the app update hasn’t changed at all.

P.S. they can’t even help me with my voucher I’m waiting on since May….

I don’t drop mine off until they confirm parts needed and technicians needed are available for my drop off date.

Check Florida's lemon law. In most states, there's a 30-day limit to effect repairs.

Go charge that sucker! Our X sat at the SC for a month at a low state of charge and I saw the battery health go down after that month. My $0.02

Agree. Particularly if they let the battery degrade. My model 3 was in the shop for almost a month and the battery hasn’t been the same

This is what I do. I've had 4+ service appointments in Dallas and they haven't kept the truck longer than a week. That week was the 1st or 2nd appointment back in March/April. Now when I drop off I usually have my truck back in 2-3 days.

I always confirmed all parts have delivered and the tech is available before going to the service center (via the app messaging) and confirm once again before I leave the service center (face to face).

In the rare event that a part isn't there during the face to face confirmation, I have them move that aspect of the service to a new ticket/appointment in the future so it doesn't confuse anyone who is working on the current appointment.

Yep W Palm had mine in the sun for 3 weeks and finally charged it once it got to like 2%. Got the truck back in much dirtier than I would like after 5 weeks. Had to pull bkf after I got it back. I was told they are short staffed due to the layoffs that seems to be affecting all sc.

The Jacksonville SC is a joke, and it's mainly because the service manager is an a**. I refuse to go back there and will go to Orlando before I step foot in the Jacksonville SC, at least until he's fired.

Before they moved to the new location from Phillips Hwy to Atlantic Blvd they used to have great service and an excellent delivery process. I know they needed more space, but the move didn't happen overnight, and they should be doing better, not worse.

Aaron's favorite line is we get a hundred vehicles a day, and I'm sorry, but that's not my issue for him to have a horrible attitude. I heard that at least a hundred times in our ten minute conversation.

From dmv.com

Under state law, a vehicle must:

  • Have been purchased in new condition within two years.
  • Demonstrate a significant defect. The defect must be extreme, and must affect the vehicle’s operation ability, such as the engine, brakes, transmission or other major areas in the car.
  • Have undergone at least three repair attempts to fix the problem.
  • Have been in the mechanic’s shop and out of service for at least 30 days.

Those do not appear to be "or" clauses, they seem to be "and" clauses.
And they are very similar to most other states.

The Service Center can only do what they can do.
But it does appear that they forgot to do one thing, but your car in Service Mode.

If you're not dealing with a severe issue, and the vehicle is otherwise usable, I would go pick it up and tell the Service Center you'll reschedule the repairs when they have the parts onsite and are able to get it firmly on their work schedule.

Whenever you take it back for that service, if you can get a loaner that might help. Or waiting in their customer lounge.

Sounds like your stuff is minor enough that they keep putting other requests in front of yours. And the SC doesn't really have much incentive to prioritize your work (that's where the loaner might help).

You might also look at another Service Center.
