I would like to share my experience with the cyber truck. It has only been 24 hours since I received it, and during this time, I have encountered nearly 2 accidents. The amount of attention this car attracts is absolutely unbelievable. Despite owning McLaren's and GT3s in the past, I have never experienced such intense scrutiny. It has become somewhat dangerous as people are cutting others off just to get behind me at red lights, resulting in abrupt braking and screeching tires. Additionally, there have been instances where people have followed me into plazas and abruptly stopped their cars to take pictures, forcing me to slam on my brakes. I sincerely hope that everyone who receives this car stays safe on the roads. On a positive note, this vehicle combines the comfort of a Mercedes S Class with the advantages of an SUV's height. It truly is an incredible vehicle, but I urge everyone to prioritize safety, especially in densely populated areas like Orange County.

There was someone that followed me 20 minutes to my friends house with his daughter. He then proceeded to try and convince me that if the truck is fully paid off and in my name I can 100% re-sell it without any legal issues from Tesla..I kept telling him about the $50k clause but he was almost getting angry with me because I wouldn't believe him. lol

I second all that. I've had mine since December and have missed uncounted freeway exists and street turns because I get blocked by drivers taking videos and not allowing me to change lanes, got blocked by people at traffic lights and stop signs, followed home, followed into a bathroom stall, some people knocked on my door at 11PM to ask questions, asked the dumbest questions (how to get one quick, how much money do I make, if they can take it for test drive, if I can help them get one fast, asking if they can kick it......)

Luckily, odd and annoying behaviors is not very frequent and does not detract from the enjoyment of the cybertruck which I absolutely love. After owning numerous Tesla since 2016, this one is absolutely the best - the build quality is superb, no rattles or squeaks of any sort, sound system is OUT OF THIS WORLD!, suspension is silky plush and much better than X, drive by wire is amazing and easy.

I think this is Tesla's best car yet
Look on the bright side, at least people aren't mistaking the CYBERTRUCK for a 'Bathroom Stall'
I know l'd be peed off!

The Cybertruck makes people smile. I too have had constant attention, photos, videos, conversations and wild encounters. I too have missed many freeway exits. I live in a culture de sac, which is now seeing 2-3 cars per hour just coming through to look. The lack of badging generates all kinds of theories from people who don't know what a CT is. But mostly, people just light up with huge smiles. And I get to smile every minute I am in it.

For $500,000, Id probably accept the penalties of transfer. Of course, there would have to be a clause that the money is paid up front and subject to the rules of transfer in the order agreement. And I'd be okay waiting for another one.

If you actually read the resale clause, the penalty is "Tesla may seek injunctive relief to prevent the transfer of title of the Vehicle or demand liquidated damages from you in the amount of $50,000 or the value received as consideration for the sale or transfer, whichever is greater"

50k, or the amount of profit you made, whichever is higher. So the people thinking they could sell one for some amount of money and not care about being banned from buying teslas or losing 50k from the sale, are going to be in for a rude awakening.

It is nice hearing confirmation that the CT is an attention grabber. That being said it would be great if this thread could concentrate on actual owner observations about the good and bad aspects of the CT as they are encountered.

Agree, that would be more informative and helpful.

My negatives mostly nitpicking, overall very positive experience, mostly. What I like is:
  • love the windshield, even more than X
  • love the ride height, even higher than x
  • love the ride smoothness, much MUCH better than X
  • love not having any rattles or squeaks (actually none (yet)), unlike X. My last X (May 2023 bult) was very solid build but still, as the time passed, developed rattles from falcon wing doors. At times it felt that there was a clown in the back seat making animal ? balloons. Night and day if comparing to my first 2016 X ?
  • I absolutely LOVE the sound system - it is the best I've ever heard, even comparing to my friend's Ghost and Bentley
  • cabin sound isolation. I hope future updates will enable noise cancelling, but even without it, Tesla did a great job isolating outside noise
  • MCU speed and responsiveness is next level
  • suspension adjustment range and speed of adjustment
  • drive by wire is one of the best features - easy and intuitive
  • motorized frunk - now I can use frunk daily
  • love that I dont have to worry about "run away" shopping carts or car door dings
  • love the real sun visors
  • amount of storage and cargo room

What I dont like is:
  • floor mats. I dont like the included all weather mats nor the textile mats as both versions make dirt and dust VERY visible. Even the slightest amount of dirt shows up like crazy
  • while this is, in my opinion, the best first run Tesla, my windshield has some defects in it. There are 2 spots at the very bottom on passenger side that are "wavy", I guess the glass did not flow/form properly. I'm not going to complain or request replacement as it's very minor, not like early X double vision nightmare saga :)
  • F I N G E R P R I N T S. This is much worse than I could ever imagined. This thing is a fingerprint magnet, collector, amplifier, and telescope - all in one, compounded by everyone wanting to touch it.
  • longer charging times because of the bigger battery. V4 will mitigate this issue but there arent any yet
  • dont care about the "yacht" floor, would rather have center console extend there with more storage
  • not thrilled for 0 visibility from the rear view mirror when bed cover is closed, which is always, and on screen rear camera view get fogged up really quick during rain
  • really miss door auto present from X
  • temporary, but still, no FSD - I use(d) it every day
  • miss the range of X for my infrequent long distance trips as X was just enough for my trips without any supercharging stops, now I have to stop
  • dont really like the tire noise from AT tires and will most likely switch to AS tires when available
Very helpful, thank you. Agree on mats, wtf? Include both for $100K+

Did you go AWD or Beast?

Do you think you will get wrapped?

Did/will you get Powershare set up w/gateway for home backup?
