I have the same issue. Definitely feels like a wheel balance issue. The service center refused to balance and said it's normal lol

Bless you all! I hope you get things balanced out ? I appreciate the sacrifices you're making for those of us impatiently waiting. ( I cancelled my order via texting with the sales representative, but I believe it wasn't actually cancelled as it still shows up in the app. I bought a Lyriq, but I am still going to test drive the CT for the $1250 I am out on the deposit). These stories make me glad I wasn't able to be first, but as a consumer I feel your pain. My local service center is small and they are not the nicest or most informative people, so I fear what would have happened if I did get the CT and had issues. Hopefully you all get yours fixed and smoothly back on the road.

It’s definitely not normal and they told me the same thing. I took it to discount tires for road force balance, they made it even worse the first time because they forgot to take down the old weights, the second time they claimed they fixed it…the vibration is less than before but still noticeable especially around 60mph. I am thinking that maybe the AT tires are just harder to balance especially for this brand new Goodyear wrangler Tesla spec. Currently I am waiting on all season tires so I can swap out the AT.

I'm sure they can be properly balanced. I spoke with some other CT owners and they don't feel anything.

Tough to say without experiencing it first hand but, AT tires certainly will have some vibrations or feedback and it will probably vary based on road surface.

Typically, if you have a tire or wheel balance issue, it will get worse with more speed. If 60, 70 feel the same as 80, 90+, then it may not be a wheel/tire balance issue.

Can't hurt to schedule a Tesla service to see if what you feel is normal or not.

Maybe they are not as sensitive as we are. Out of spec Kyle said in his review that the truck from Ben vibrates on highway and I DMed Ben he told me he does not feel any vibrations. The AT tires will have a rough ride anyway so I am counting on the all season.

my truck has a vibration over 40mph and it feels like a u joint on a drive shaft is going bad. It's just for comparison and if you've experienced that then you know what I'm talking about. I can make it go away when I balance the motors between regen and powering motors while above 40mph.

Interesting…did you ask them to fix it?

Mine is a serious vibration at 74-84 MPH. Today I tried to "outrun" it and hit 93 MPH and I thought the front end was going to separate. Tesla has already attempted replacing the power drive unit and there was no change. Now they might replace the axles, waiting to hear from the engineers.

The model s is about the front motor because there is no vibration when you put it on track mode with 100% rear bias. I think in the update they tweaked the front drive unit to make it less vibrating.
I tried the same on the Cybertruck in Baja mode with 100% rear bias but it still vibrates.
I am leaning towards the tire because it vibrates a lot more with the OEM wheel balancing, after I rebalanced it at discount tires, it vibrates less and the vibration peaked at around 60mph, at 70-80 it actually vibrates less, but above 80 it vibrates more.
It’s hard for me to film the vibration because of the steer by wire because it vibrates with the entire truck rather than visual steering wheel shakes.
As a diagnostic measure to confirm it is the tires, consider driving with 45 psi and then with 55 psi and note the difference if any.

I now have over 4200 miles on my CT AWD and I'm still experiencing vibration at various speeds as low as 50 mph. At 80+ mph the vibration becomes quite pronounced. I complained of the vibration shortly after taking delivery to the service center in Las Vegas. We took it out for a test drive, but in heavy traffic it was not possible to replicate the problem. Tesla refused to check the balance (said they didn't have the equipment), and refused to rotate the rear tires to the front to see if it made a difference. I was told to put at least 1000 miles on the vehicle to see if it persists. I had the tires rotated myself and it made no difference. I will take it to another Tesla service center near Chicago and see if I can get this problem resolved.

There is hope for a solution. I have taken my CT to 100mph without vibration. Its not normal and make sure they fix it.

My truck is in service for new half shafts now. Hopefully this does the job. Interesting that Las Vegas said they couldn't do balances, they did mine. @Cybergirl -which location, east or west?

That's wild. They're the ones fixing my truck. That was the first step in trying to solve my problem. How long ago did they tell you they couldn't do it? If you're still around Vegas you could probably re-attempt.
