No whistling on mine just erratic fan speed like the sensor was malfunctioning. Ironically when I drove on the highway was when the fan speed would increase which also resulted in louder operating noise.I had the same noise coming from the HVAC system since I picked up the car 10 weeks ago. Tesla service ordered a "wet HVAC box" and said the HVAC pressure was too high causing the whistling noise from the HVAC system. I have been waiting on it for the last 6 weeks now. The noise from my car is very pronounced. I'm hoping this will help a little until the new part arrives. In my case, it was the only noise in the car, until I picked up the car back from service. Now I have a rattle on the dash and a scratch on the side plastic trim. Service caused both issues when they were diagnosing the noise problem.
Sure, I agree with all that, but I was just wondering what specific bothersome sound the poster was referring to.There are a number of ways that Tesla can change the noise levels. There are the simple adjust the air-flow solutions, which can go a long way.
But there's also some motor control solutions that can be implemented. By presenting different waveforms to the motors, the sound of the motor can be altered dramatically.
yep...my new Model Y has themGood question. I haven’t seen it mentioned but the headlights appear to be the same as my model 3 which are matrix. Has anyone done a light show up against a wall to see if they spell out Tesla?
Also hoping this helps the drain
well, I hope they change the "auto-mode" fans operation....You only get hi, med and low while in auto....Low is barely on and hi is about 7 on the manual speed.......we should be able to change speed just like manual....Auto should be just that...as temperature nears set point, the. fan automatically adjusts....My guess is by allowing to to direct airflow to more than directly at you, or face-level. For example I am in the habit of changing it off auto so I can put airflow on the feet and windshield which reduces the noise considerably. I understand the thought that on auto if it sets it to face-level (what the manual calls it) you will “feel” more airflow and likely feel like you are being cooled down quicker. I also tend to switch on the rear client even if no one is back there.
dam, read this a day late. Just updated last night.Just installed 20.1 messed my cameras up. Getting these 2 errors don’t update yall.

Look at your phone, there's a link to the release notes.Hoping since the update says “updating autopilot :driver assistance and dashcam disabled. Do not drive until complete”
Could this be it!?!

"Minor Fixes" is a very common update. It's basically bug fixes with very few, if any, new features.I got the update but it does not show any info...? The green arrow does nothing and he same with the shaded arrows.
I have also noticed that my backup lines now turn off above 5mph. Definitely a problem.I definitely have some problems with this one.
Good: low end throttle response, both acceleration and regen are much smoother and easier to control now. At first I thought regen was significantly reduced until I realized the curve was just changed
Bad:
- my seat now only moves one direction when switching between easy entry and my profile. put it in drive, it goes forward. put it in park, it goes forward again. put it in drive, it goes forward a third time... etc
-filing a bug report no longer works, and instead causes a random song I've never heard of called "bug report" to start playing on spotify.
-AC is definitely less effective, not just quieter. I had just gotten used to the cabin temp at each temp setting and it's completely different now. Where 72F was icy before, I now have to go to 68F to reach that temp. And it's not warmer here than it was when I got the truck, so it's not that.
The truck was running perfectly the day before. I did the update overnight, and when I tried to use it in the morning, I couldn't even unplug the charging cable. An error message popped in the app that said: " Incompatible drive system software detected." Tesla online could not do anything, so they sent a towing truck, and the towing truck forced open the FRUNK. Still, the truck was so dead that not even they were able to open the door by their force-opening task list..Oh no! Please elaborate with details. Let us know what it takes to make your truck alive again. Hope Tesla has put you on a priority list to get it fixed quickly.
Long time lurker of the internet. I rarely post because of opsec. I had to make an account on this forum because of this post. This last “minor” update, someone needs to do a hotfix and rollback the update. This update made my cybertruck a brick. I had a low voltage issue. The truck could not go into drive mode, neutral, reverse or even go to tow mode. The slipper things sleds or skates. The drive by wire was not operating either. Tow truck guy wanted me to “steer” the truck. He had to unhook and realign the flatbed truck to the cybertruck. The interface was operational. I wanted to just get the word out there. He put it on skates and dragged the brick onto the flat bed. This also damaged the floor of my garage but what can you do with the situation at hand. I do have to applaud the tow truck driver, he was able to do his job. There needs to be a complete retrospective of how they rolled out this code and see are the developers as well as the approvers that committed the lines of code in this update. The truck was running perfectly the day before. Nevertheless, the truck needed to be towed. It was almost impossible to do it without the tow service feature. The wheels were locked, and they had to put a slippery tool on each tire to slide the car on top of the towing truck's bed. This whole mission took almost 1.5 hours for the towing guy to make happen.
Tesla just gave me a loaner, a Model Y, and they still have the car without letting me know when it will be completed.
Oh no!!! I hope they get it fixes quickly. I did the 2024.20.1 update yesterday, luckily it is still working today. The truck was running perfectly the day before.
