Totally agreed with your observation. It is not a FW issue between 24.11 and 2024.20.1. Currently at 2024.20.1 and for the last 12 hrs, my range has NOT dropped. It is in line with my Model 3, but, when you launch the App, the Model 3 shows sleeping for XX hours and my CT shows Parked. My WIFI activity shows nothing for Model 3 and for the CT, it is active every 30 mins and transmitting for 5 mins max. I have noticed that during these 30 mins bursts, the HV contactors are not clicking on and off, which is good, and probably explains why my range is still intact. Maybe with the 48V system, the WIFI is supposed to be more active compared to the Model 3's 12 V system where they just turn it off, don't know. I am not messing with any settings anymore and if my range holds and is between 1% -2%, I am happy for now. Let's see.....

Has anyone tried the “Power Off” setting to see if that helps at all? Or does it still wake back up automatically?

Can you force it to do an update? I already have it set to advanced but I am on
2024.14.100.2
The vehicle will get is when Tesla wants it to. You can always look under settings - software and see that it is shown up to date.

I'm not sure I would upgrade to 20.1. Just got back and check the app: 2 days sleeping.

I think I'm gonna wait for FSD upgrade, just don't want to mess with 14.11 while vampire drain is gone for now.
Why would you expect the issue to be added back? It's things like this that they are actively working and squashing right now. It may be even better!
The issue has been back as expected.

Since the update 20.1 the vampire drain is back. The longest I've seen in a week is 12 minutes sleep. I should've ignored the 20.1, not sure to call SC to push back 14.11.

Hmmm, looks like I have to make a service appointment...I can select it on, but no warnings.
How do you know no warnings? It isn't easy to test. Most actual testing results in the car "knowing" that you've done it and not triggering the alarm.

We also have a Model 3 and a Y. I'm familiar with the warning..it simply doesn't work..acts like it's selected off.

My current software version is 2024.14.11, installed earlier this month. Last week I drove it to a 5-day trip. During the trip, there were several occasions it prompted me on the monitor to install a new software of 2024.20.1 (?) when I existed out the car for the day. I believer there was also a similar prompt on my App for software update. I didn't follow those for a update since I was still on the way. But when I arrived home over the weekend, I found the software update option disappeared completely from the car and the App already. Instead, it claims that my current 2024.14.11 software is still update to date. Did they just took this update back?

I believe that there is some threshold of "If I keep asking to install it and they never install it" the option disappears. "Evidently the driver really doesn't want it!"

There's very little reason not to install an update when you have an hour or two to spare. I've found on numerous times that the having new features on trips is nice.

except that there is a nonzero chance that the update will take 3 hours instead of 1, and also a nonzero chance that it will be bricked. The intelligent thing to do is wait until you're back home to do an update, just in case.

Granted, although 3 hours is quite a stretch for the probably well over 100 updates that my cars have been through.

There's also a non-zero chance that a bug gets fixed that might cause your vehicle to be inoperable.

It's indeed an experience thing. I've had no issues in over 6 years of update across multiple vehicles.
The probability of getting a bricked vehicle during an update is quite low. Probably less than a 1,000 in 50,000,000 updates over maybe 10 years.
Over the air updates may be new to you, but they aren't new to Tesla.

Same issue with me… But after driving for a while. It seems to have fixed itself. I’m keeping my Tesla Service date for this issue, as it might come back. But fixed itself for now.

OK nice to know. But I still dare not to update it while there are still lots of miles to drive next day(s) before getting home. I am looking forward to the next update for now.

happy, wasn’t that the original functionality before the update? On all my teslas for a while the auto setting has only let you pick low med high for fan speed
I do not think so....my model S had auto mode with 1-10 fans speeds I do believe

Yes, it works - audible assist and steering wheel vibrate.

I am not too sure of this update for FSD.....it works great compared to the older one....however, I was driving at 65mph going to Blythe ca on Saturday and out of nowhere I started getting red light and informed that I was disconnected from FSD for not paying attention or erratic driving.......Strike 1......Coming home at the exact same location +/- 2 miles, the same thing happened......Strike 2.....do not understand why......but at least the FSD is smoother in turns while driving in town and the only thing I would criticize is that the starting from lights and stop signs is a bit harsh.....could be more controlled and not like a jack rabbit.
