I did a search for the title above and came up bupkis so hoping I’m missing something stupid.

I’ve had my truck for one day (yeah me - delivery yesterday!) and I’ve exited the vehicle a dozen times…and every time I touch the stainless steel to close the door it shocks me!

I’m getting it wrapped in a month which I assume would stop this from happening (maybe?) but for those who have kept the stainless steel does this happen to you? How do you prevent it? Thanks!

Happens to me all the time (but I guess it’s because the car is electric ?)

Never happened in my Model X or Model Y. I assume it’s the naked steel..or something else. But damn I tired of getting popped each time I close the door! :)

Haven't had any personal issue with this. Also haven't read anything about it before the two above saying it's happened to them. I wonder if some people are just more prone to static electricity ?

No issues with me & my Cybertruck. At least no shocking issues. Are you wearing cordoroy pants or a smoking jacket perchance? ;) This HAS happened to me in thepast with other cars, to be honest. Try changing up your clothes to see if it repeats.

Happened to me for a while. I think it's the way you slide off the seat to get out. Try having the truck lower upon park so you can avoid the slide pivot.

Oh, geez, I hate getting shocked. But if there's static, I tend to absorb it x-x

Maybe grab onto something to ground yourself before touching the stainless?

Yep, same here. Def annoying. But I live in dry central CA so it’s sort of expected
