From what I understand, most suede is made from cow hides. Last I checked, cows are generally and naturally vegan. It’s only when people muck with the system and feed them stuff like cow brains that the are not vegan and develop diseases like mad cow.

I should clarify that baby cows are not vegan because they drink cow milk. But once they are weaned they are vegan. But that would be true for human vegans generally too.
