have scheduled maintenance for repair of the tailgate assist. The assisted tailgate lowering just stopped working.

Do you believe either one of these 2 parts could also be a culprit for making the tailgate feel like its 200 lbs when trying to close it?

I was rear-ednded and after all the repairs, I need to "lift with my knees" to be able to close it. Its HEAVY!

Yeah, the torsion rod is probably not installed properly. I think the struts are mostly dampers.

Called collision center; they'll take a look. I'll report back.

Torsion rod was not slotted in properly. Tesla Collison made the simple adjustment. Now I can close my tailgate without it feeling so heavy.
