Do we know how he's getting his truck? Is it from jumping the line with Tesla or possibly buying/leasing/something from a CT owner? The way he worded it I'm not sure he's getting it from Tesla.
I also don't see the point in Tesla worrying about getting trucks in the hands of "influencers" considering the pace of production and the long waiting line.

I have mixed feelings about this... I APPRECIATE all that he does for this group but to put someone ahead just because they are influential just rubs me the wrong way. If anyone were to get one because of this reason Joe DOES deserve it, but it goes to show Tesla doesn't care about the average consumer... Just my opinion. Mine is my first Tesla ever, but the way the are handling the deliveries makes me not want to do business with them
his patreons pay him to do it its not like he does it for free. so he dosnt DESERVE anything.

I think Joe had an opportunity presented to him probably by someone that had a reservation and it’s being offered to Joe. He’s technically not jumping in front of anyone if that’s the case. He has an awesome YouTube channel and contributes a lot so he deserves the opportunity.
his patreons pay him well each month nothing is owed

Disagree, with social media they only need a couple people. It’s not that hard.
I’m being patient too (Feb to April timeframe). I know nothing will happen until at least the end of April to early May. If it gets past the middle of May then I’ll start to get a little annoyed.
OR...they don't employ virtually ANYONE, and let the consumer use social media, and only piss off people that are early adopters. I think they prefer that option.

But why advertise a product you can't deliver, and which gets tons of free advertising anyway just by existing?
well they will deliver, it builds hype and people are still placing orders. there are still people out there who have no idea what it is .. anytho those people probbally are NOT watching Joes videos lol

Because of people like me. CT was unveiled, I knew that tesla had a weird ecosystem that you have to be prepared for. I bought a model Y in 2021 so that I could decide if I could live with no physical controls, no speedometer in front of me, charging, etc. And the answer was yes. I'm still not sure about the lack of stalks, but that's beside the point. People like me exist, and they are doing anything and everything they can to drum up sales right now.

I like to think of it as him taking one for the team. When I get my 79K dual motor truck, probably next year, it's going to be vastly improved over what's available today. Higher density cybercells, faster peak and sustained charge rates, plus all the little fixes these first deliveries will have to go in to service centers for. They're really doing us a service.

I guess that is my only issue, is the people who get the trucks early are the ones who are going to be very biased, they share their experiences which is good, but when it comes through rose colored glasses it doesn't help much for the rest of us waiting with low reservation number in hand.

I guess that makes business sense, but seems like a lot of people just hate Tesla for doing things this way, I was impartial when I placed my order, I figured they would have good customer service, and hope they will after I get my truck, but until then, I don't plan to purchase any other Tesla products until I see how they are after the sale.
You think other companies don't? lol. They usually don't even have reservations lists. All companies have promo cars when they launch a new product.
