When I placed my order for non foundation CT on OCT 03, my order agreement showed "lifetime premium connectivity" INCLUDED.

When I paid for it in full on OCT 16, my order agreement it only showed "standard connectivity"

Tesla said they made a mistake and there was a bug in ordering and only Foundation series can get "lifetime premium connectivity"

So, Tesla changed the order agreement without my knowledge. Can they do that?

This was discussed in another topic with the majority of the forum believing that the purchaser was owed the free lifetime premium connectivity.

That said, it was obviously an error as the build sheet for non-FS does show standard and it never said lifetime. It was a perk of the FS to get free lifetime connectivity and personally I find it hard to believe that you didn’t know that when looking at your order agreement for the first time.

It’s a 50/50 call to me.. on one hand, I don’t think they owe you anything, would you be asking for a Beast if you ordered an AWD and the OA mistakingly said Tri-Motor? To your point though, if they didn’t notify you and you can convince Tesla you thought this was included and was a big part of your purchase I feel like they will eat it and let you have it.

You could have used this as a valid reason to cancel the order and get your deposit back but that's about all. Had they not found the mistake until after you paid for the truck and took possession then they would have been obligated to honor it - the agreement at the time of the sale is all that matters. That said, I agree it is pretty shady of them to just change it without notification. Not the behavior you would expect from a respectable business.

I tried a few times to see if I could convince Tesla to just let me have it but no luck. They said I could contact Tesla Legal Dept. I tried, I guess I'll just let it go.

When it comes to contracts (essentially what this is) mistakes/typos aren't enforceable.
You can try to convince them, but there's not any rule saying they have to.
Sorry .

I am curious, were you not aware the lifetime connectivity was for FS only?

Interesting that the 82USD price tag would be cheaper to import into Canada with duties and dollar conversion then buying here in Canada. Hmmmmmm

Hey there, second time I have seen this and decided to create an account to address. There is a misnomer here. Whether it is standard connectivity or lifetime connectivity, you will not be getting premium connectivity for free. The difference between the two is complete internet access for premium and only navigation/map internet access for standard connectivity. two or so years ago, Tesla stated that they have decided to define 'lifetime' connectivity as the vehicle lifetime which is 8 years. This lifetime connectivity only grants access to the standard level of connectivity, which is why the two terms are interchangeable. Nothing but the verbiage has changed on you order agreement, you are still getting the same level of connectivity.

It's not worth the fight. It's $99 a year.

You created an account and didn't read the OP?

The original Purchase Agreement says Lifetime Premium Connectivity, not just "Lifetime Connectivity". This was an error by Tesla because the Foundation Series included Lifetime Premium Connectivity, which is indeed different than just "Lifetime Connectivity" or "Standard Connectivity".

Nothing really to fight about. They made an error and corrected it before you picked up the vehicle. If you don't want the vehicle at the stated terms then cancel the order. Seems pretty simple.

I didn't hear anything about NF, no launch date or having less range or connectivity prior to getting email to order so I wasn't sure. I wasn't expecting premium connectivity, but I seen it as being included when I ordered it then I find out 12 days later, after I paid for it, that Tesla removed from purchace agreement without a word mentioned about it.

I know Tesla says I never had it, but I still feel like I lost it.

...they could have easily let me have it but they didn't. I had to try
