I don't think this is accurate at all - I did a trip from Omaha to O'hare and it says I need to charge twice for 20 minutes and one time for 10. No way I'm doing 480 some miles with 50 minutes of charging going 75mph+. Says a MY4wd would need 40 minutes - that seems plausible, but optimistic too.

Even the Tesla app says around 75+ minutes of charging needed to end with less than 10% left.

I have a 305 mile from SD to Vegas, the planner is close but not accurate for me, but it's using the AS tires instead of AT. One 10 minute charge and one 5 min, although if I drive somewhat conservatively I can get there with one 5 minute charge on the AT.

Seems pretty accurate to me (considering it's not taking into account weather, traffic, speeding, etc.

The trip charging planner only includes the most efficient trims of each model, it's not meant as an actual trip planner, it's just to demonstrate to non-owners than no matter where you need to go, the Supercharger can get you there in a sensible manner. The trip planner in your vehicle is a lot more sophisticated.

For traveling with a Model S from Southern Arizona to Austin, Texas it used to route up through Colorado. That's been fixed.

Yeah, I can tell you one thing: this map reflects the geographic and lack of charging infrastructure reality of driving to Ely, but there is 0% chance my truck could make this. ZERO PERCENT!!! This map, for all intents and purposes is a lie!

This is quite the walk when this proves to be laughably wrong! There are massive elevation changes and always tons of wind and it's bitterly cold much of the year! This trip is not gonna happen!!! It’s one of my biggest frustrations with Tesla and my CB. This right here (and other trips like it) are the primary reason that it can’t replace my FJ— which is entirely what I intended when I bought it.

I just entered the same trip (Las Vegas NV to Ely NV) into the online trip planner, after selecting a Cyberbeast, and got a different route. It went northeast on I-15, then a 20 minute stop for charging at the Moapa Supercharger, and only then headed north to Ely.

Does the Tesla navigation system allow you to customize the data, such as what A Better Route Planner does, where you can adjust speed, weight, temperature, battery degradation, etc.?

Also, I understand the Tesla navigation does not account for elevation changes, correct?
