A couple of weeks after purchasing my FS Cybertruck (purchased September 2024) I began to have issues with my seat. There is a piece of plastic at the bottom of the seat where the leather wraps to the bottom of the seat that keeps the leather lodged in place and tight (I tried to highlight this in the pic below). The design of the plastic piece is very flimsy on my CT and keeps coming dislodged. The service center basically repaired it by gluing it back in place.
I noticed last week that the plastic piece was again dislodged and the leather was about to fall off my seat. The service center fixed it today, but the technician compared my seat with newer, non-FS Cybertrucks on the lot and identified that Tesla has modified the design of this assembly to be more robust. He said that it was perplexing because he checked and Tesla has not sent a bulletin to service centers on this change, which he indicated they normally do. He told me if it messes up again they will give me the new seat.
If any of you are having a similar issue as me and have an older Foundation Series CT, I’d recommend reaching out to your service center about the getting a seat with the assembly.
