A couple of weeks after purchasing my FS Cybertruck (purchased September 2024) I began to have issues with my seat. There is a piece of plastic at the bottom of the seat where the leather wraps to the bottom of the seat that keeps the leather lodged in place and tight (I tried to highlight this in the pic below). The design of the plastic piece is very flimsy on my CT and keeps coming dislodged. The service center basically repaired it by gluing it back in place.

I noticed last week that the plastic piece was again dislodged and the leather was about to fall off my seat. The service center fixed it today, but the technician compared my seat with newer, non-FS Cybertrucks on the lot and identified that Tesla has modified the design of this assembly to be more robust. He said that it was perplexing because he checked and Tesla has not sent a bulletin to service centers on this change, which he indicated they normally do. He told me if it messes up again they will give me the new seat.

If any of you are having a similar issue as me and have an older Foundation Series CT, I’d recommend reaching out to your service center about the getting a seat with the assembly.

I have the same issue, and have to reach down and “re-seat” the plastic to keep it from popping off. If it comes off, its a total pain to get it back on.

It’s a pain. I was having to do it multiple times per week. Take it in and insist they make a repair beyond adhesive.

I had this issue on my 2019 Model X rear seats that service ‘fixed’ twice before just screwing it in. Absolutely insane 6 years later Tesla still hasn’t figured out how to upholster a seat.

I have that same issue on driver's seat only. I was just going to bundle it in with the next tire rotation at the SC.

I’ve had to reattach mine three times now. It’s pretty easy to snap back, but I’d prefer, I not have to do that.

I have the same problem. I went to SC and told them. When I got my CB back they claimed it was fixed. However, just when I pulling out I reached down and it was coming dislodge. Grrr… I didn’t have time to go and complain so I put another service call a week out. I might show this post and see what they have to say about it.

My 2012 S seats are so much better than today's seats. I had a X last week. It's seats were nicer than my truck seats. These are cheap junk. Im going to check if wiring connector are same. If keep it 10 years these will be trash.
