Test your jack and spare tire accessories before you need them

Les Schwab will not do temporary emergency repairs of any kind. They don't do off-road trailside repairs either. Individuals can do successful emergency repairs on tires that Les Schwab says they can't repair.

Huh? I was simply saying the fact that Les Schwab wouldn't repair it doesn't speak to whether it was field repairable or not. I hope you don't disagree with that!

you should let the air out of the tire and test it on a flat. Some of those jacks are too tall when they are retracted. Chances are that you’ll be changing the tire when it’s flat so that would be a more realistic test.

What about the new tire, is it supposed to be flat too? How would you put a fully inflated tire on if you can't get an inflated one off?

my point to to check to make sure the jack can fit under the truck when the tire is flat because it will be much lower on a flat and some of these amazon jacks are too tall to fit. and it also needs to be able to jack up enough to get an inflated spare on as well. i believe the range needed is something around 9.5in at the retracted state and 20in at the fully extended state.
