This chart helps clarify the status of the US federal rebate for 2024

Couldn't find that this had been posted before. Of course the Cybertruck (under 80k version) should be eligible for the full rebate and it also seems that the Model 3 Performance, Model X (under 80k) and all Model Y versions should be eligible. Please post any corrections or thoughts. This is the 1st thread I've started so let me know if I've screwed anything up.

The $80K seems to be a problem. However, at $79,990 I would hope a base CT would qualify. One would have to skip FSD and options like floor mats, but those options can be ordered through the Telsa store. Alas, the US Government tax page doesn't list it:

Only non-software options installed by the manufacturer count towards the price.

So you can totally get FSD, floor mats, and charging connectors. However, until Tesla does the paperwork for the batteries, it's moot.

Nope, because they are using Chinese cathodes in the cell which, as of Jan 1, 2024, makes the vehicle ineligible for any credit under the 30D Clean Vehicle Credit section of the IRA.
