One of those deep charges (not full charge) cost $127 😧
The OP doesn’t seem to care about the cost of the vehicle or charge; he wants a traditional-looking truck with a traditional-looking interior, and a lot of range. The Silverado should suit his needs just fine.

With FSD, no other truck compares. After having FSD, all other benefits of other trucks just don’t matter to me. If I need a bigger truck, the Tesla Semi is on the list.

I considered the Hummer, but they really tonkafied the looks too much. And without the refined software of tesla, it just seems not enough for the price.

The Tonkafication is THE BEST PART!!! (Probably my favorite thing about my FJ.) The price is too damn high though! And ultimately it’s because of the lack of FSD that the value proposition just isn’t there for what they’re asking. So, we get to the exact same place by different calculus.

I watched their 2 hour review, granted it was posted over a year ago i believe but the silverado dominated their 500 mile tow with Tesla being last, even tho the lightning didnt to get anything right just distance. Its what made me think wow these are really nice and i can to my 4,000 camper over 200 miles at good speeds none the less.
Pretty much you have to decide if you want to drive a traditional truck with a battery or do you want to drive the future?

I think that's the simplest way to put it

After owning 2 Teslas now, if I look at any other vehicle my first question is
can it drive itself? No, pass
I’m too hooked on FSD now to even consider something else lol. But I do like the looks of the Silverado.

Man those headlights are bad. Otherwise a beautiful and capable vehicle, but I would not buy it for the headlights alone.
Yes, exactly, thank you. I heard through the grapevine, that the CEO said that they didn't like them either and wish they had chosen something different, but its part of the brand identity now, and they plan on phasing them out, slowly through new models, but it'll take time, not to break the brand identity.

Sounds like an ICE might be a better deal. EV isn't for everyone yet.

You listed a lot of what YOU like. I want room with towing that’s EV and many other things it looks as tho they do have
True, we all love our own brand. if towing was a high priority I'd get a Diesel pickup.

If the mid-gate is so awwesome, how come owners report rarely ever using it, if at all? So many owners report not wanting their cabin open to the open air rain, snow and dust. When you have the mid-gate open the only locked area is the frunk. And it's far from convenient to convert it open or closed.

I suspect I might use it once every couple of years for some kind of edge case.
If FSD is so awesome, how come I hardly use it and the overall take rate is so low?

I think both trucks do great things and are for people wanting to accomplish different tasks. If towing is your priority, the Silverado is the no brainer EV truck. I like the speed and fun the Beast offers, I wouldn't want anything else. Other people want to use FSD and take it easy, AWD is great. Different strokes for different folks, choices are good.

It handled like a boat compared to the CT. Just my 2 cents. I was twiterpated by the long range.,,,, Plus the entry mode in the CT works good for all the aging folks around me.

Silverado EV is a better truck. Cybertruck is a better robot that drives you wherever you want. I have a 3.0 diesel Silverado with a comma 3 for towing long range. Electric trucks are stupid. Until you can pull through to charge like semis do to refuel towing sucks. Add that Cybertruck disables lane centering and FSD if you plug in a trailer and it's a deal breaker for towing. Silverado EV has supercruise and provides lane centering and adaptive cruise including changing lanes while towing!

Yep, agree with the posts above...Great looking truck, great range (which I had that type of range, haha), but software and tech inside...just puts me off. Also, I had a 2017 Bolt and a 2019 Bolt that got recalled and honestly, I just am past trusting GM with my families life from here on out. Hopefully Tesla never does anything to give me that feeling of parking and charging my Bolt in my garage which is directly under my girls' bedrooms in my house...

I honestly just dug into this vehicle it seems pretty awesome. Did anyone consider it before making their CT purchase?

How about the Ram 1500 REV that is about to come out. It has almost 700 mile range. It also has a v6 engine that's only job is to generate electricity to charge the battery. Drive is strictly electric motors. It has 92 kw battery and can fast charge.
