This post seems like nonsense. Hard to believe OP really had all the largest tire store operators in the nation ALL decline to rotate the CT tires (they are just tires after all, lol), and somehow managed to get a quote from Tesla that is 4x the quote everyone else has received. OP chooses to make this their first post on the forum. ??

HI Guys, Thanks so much for all your suggestions! Discount Tires offered to rotate my tires for FREE! With a long trip coming up on the 27th, I was able to get it done just before the holidays.

On a side note, the Discount Tire manager mentioned that since Tesla is currently backed up on servicing their vehicles, they’ve partnered with Discount Tires to provide tire-related services (rotation, etc...) The mobile service that comes to you is actually provided by Discount Tires' staff, though there is a fee for the mobile service.

Discount Tires provide tire rotation and balancing for free on all Teslas, including Cybertruck. I just had mine done last week.

Same here. Just just had them put on a set of winter tires.

Got mine done at Walmart. I think it was $50 or so but that is lifetime rotate and balance so from now on it’s free.

Just hit 10K miles on my Cybertruck and discovered something wild: Regular tire shops WON'T touch CT tire rotations. Costco? No. Firestone? Nope. PepBoys? Also refusing.Tesla's solution? They'll do it for $295. Yes, you read that right—nearly $300 for a basic tire rotation that typically costs $20-50 elsewhere.
It's pointing to a bigger challenge for CT owners: specialized service requirements that limit our options and drive up maintenance costs.

? Question for CT owners: Have you found alternative solutions? Local shops willing to work on the truck?

If you're considering a CT purchase, factor this in: Standard maintenance might not be so standard. Basic services could require Tesla service center visits at premium prices.

I have tire insurance through Discount Tire and as a part of that I get free rotations.

I’ve just scheduled my service appointment at a Tesla Service center and got my cost estimate back and it was $65 and they are going to finally give me the wheel covers I never received with the foundation package. Not sure why you got such a high price...

Ehh, I've been told that a places won't work on my EV while emailing the manager got a a different answer (and vice versa).

Mistakes happen, as does EV avoidance by repair shops.

I'm fortunate to have my own shop (for my handyman business) with two floor jacks, safety stands, and air supply with impact wrench. My 77 year-old body still paid the price moving those HEAVY tires! It took about 45 minutes, anyway! The $69.00 estimate at the Tyler, TX service center started looking like a bargain!

The key for me was letting them know there is no need to reset TPMS or the like. They do it for $30 for me at my local tire shop. Super fast and easy.
