Most men I know that have a truck do. At least most of the ones that I know that are Gen X or boomers. I guess I can’t speak for most of the younger ones. But they should Learn and be able to if they can’t!
Well, I put my own chains on when I was 22, too. But I didn't have an impact wrench or more than an emergency jack - 'cause when you're young, you haven't yet made enough money to buy all the tools you need.

I haven't ever needed a man card, either.

Please let me know how you jack up one side of the cyber truck with one Jack? there are two jacking points, one in front, one in the rear. How many jackstands are you using?

By placing cribbing across the lifting side points of the vehicle. Then lifting that side at the fulcrum point.
Or you can use 2 separate jacks at both lifting points and lifting simultaneously.
Don’t forget to chock your wheels Whenever you’re doing any lifting.
I would suggest to pay to have it done if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Discount Tire said they would do it for free, but I’ve not taken them up on it yet.

Did you ask for the manager at all these places that refused? Do they not work on trucks, or other Teslas? There’s nothing magical about the wheels and lugs on a CT, but the air suspension does need to be in “Jack Mode”.

I’m temped to hit up the above shops on their socials to ask “Why won’t you work on Cybertrucks?”
Agree, although heavily ridiculed, here, I purchased the warranty for the OEM tires through Discount Tire which includes the rotation, road hazard, full warranty and prorated replacement. Prefer not to have to worry about the tires, as they are the only real consumable on the CT. (5,000 mile rotation)

I went to Goodyear, they did everything for free. I had to show them the settings.

Just hit 10K miles on my Cybertruck and discovered something wild: Regular tire shops WON'T touch CT tire rotations. Costco? No. Firestone? Nope. PepBoys? Also refusing.Tesla's solution? They'll do it for $295. Yes, you read that right—nearly $300 for a basic tire rotation that typically costs $20-50 elsewhere.
It's pointing to a bigger challenge for CT owners: specialized service requirements that limit our options and drive up maintenance costs.

🤔 Question for CT owners: Have you found alternative solutions? Local shops willing to work on the truck?

If you're considering a CT purchase, factor this in: Standard maintenance might not be so standard. Basic services could require Tesla service center visits at premium prices.

Thanks!
Discount Tire looked at my CT and quoted me $40 to rotate the tires. They also said if they were their tires they’d sold to me it would be free of charge.

I’ve never had discount tire say that to me ever. I guess times have changed this would never affect me though, because I always buy my tires from discount at any one time I have four or five sets of tires under warranty with them.

Do it yourself. I've had to replace studs on my wheels because of these places. They basically all suck.

If you can't do it yourself, you don't deserve to own a car. Just like picking up your own dog shit and cleaning your own house.

They also will take any tires that you have on any vehicle as long as they’re not past a certain point and fully warranty them.

That’s what I’ve done with my last several new vehicles, including my cybertruck.

I can change any tire on any vehicle, but I don’t choose to unless I must. I don’t clean my own house and I don’t clean up my dog shit either. I also don’t do lawn work.

My time is more valuable than that.

Do you. My poop guy comes on Tuesdays. 🙂
