I’m not sure what you’re seeing at 26:37? This may be just a reflection or lightning. The seal that was modified has completely sealed off the leak with zero gap and leakage. Upgraded material used should outlast the truck. I just gave the truck its first wash with the vault closed, very heavy spraying to also test this seal out. After washing, I didn’t even have one drop of water in the bed. I’m happy with that. Most of us can live with water leaking in the bed, as this is just a truck, but it’s my wife’s daily truck, so the water and stains would not work.

I just did this in mine. Before I took off the stock foam it actually looked really good. It was compressed into the crack and was still really sticky but even then it still leaked in the center like nothing was there. Afterwards i have one spot in a corner that leaks. That corner was particularly difficult to get clean because the stock foam just ripped into little pieces instead of coming off as a strip. I cleaned with goo gone then isopropyl but I guess the interface between the new seal and the 2 inches of stock foam I left wasn't enough.

Make sure all ends where the new seal meets the old seal are caulked well and on the backside of the 3 inch old piece of foam. I circled both critical spots. Also, don’t forget to add the additional seal on the edge to close the factory gap. Noted by the red arrow on the picture below. I hope this helps! My new seal is holding up very well. I haven’t had a single drop of water in the bed since I replaced it a few weeks ago.

Initially I didn't put any caulking in but I went back and did the corner that was leaking. That seems to have done the trick. I couldn't get the foam where it meets the new seal to sit in the groove because it just ripped apart when trying to remove it. All's good now though, it's been through a heavy rainstorm with no leaks.

Not close to LA. We are located in Tampa Florida. Going through a tropical storm right now. Putting this new seal through the ultimate test. Doing great with no water in the bed. Hopefully not all Cybertrucks have leaking like we experienced. But if yours leaks, give this a shot. It’s not too difficult, just take your time e with the details. It really depends on how waterproof you want your bed to be. Tesla will also fix anyone’s foam seal if you open a service ticket. I’m choosing for them not to replace my seal, as I don’t want the same foam installed. My opinion is that this is simply a better option.

I guess $100K doesnt buy what it used to.
That's right, you get more for your money now. Two years ago, the closest thing you could get to a Cybertruck was a Raptor r. But it cost $130K and didn't even come with a motorized tonneau cover (so the whole bed leaked).

Did you ever find out if the gap was normal or not? Mine is the same as yours.
it appears to be rolling out Father than most that's why the end is displayed compared to than the average cyber truck.
When I took it to service, they said it was within normal range.

However, the gasket under the panel is leaking from water as it comes down the glass.
they returned it to me with no change. I open a new ticket to get the gasket replaced. I would've had preferred them to add another segment, but they wouldn't.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, mine was leaking there too. I took that panel off to find there was no foam seal there. I bought this seal from Amazon and put it on today. It fit it perfect and it was an easy 10 minute job. Now I don’t have any more leaks

The gap is normal. When I picked up my CT, there was a gap. There was an issue with a slat on tonneau cover so they replaced whole cover with a new unit. The second time around, that gap looked just the same. So I am sure the tech did it on purpose.
