Tesla will terminate the FS as soon as the ramp gains enough momentum to exceed demand at 100k a pop. The billion dollar question is will they be losing money on each CT when that happens. That is far from guaranteed. Fingers crossed.

Define "loosing money"?

Like under the sofa? A billion dollars?

Must be a mighty big sofa. ;)

CT floats without flippers with wade mode.

FS is exaclty for flippers, it's just Tesla doing the flipping instead and calling it limited Foundation Series.

Tesla isn't shy when it comes to taking your money, or your right to resell.

The problem with a lot of these guesses about "production exceeding order rate" is that the order rate is 100% throttled by Tesla. I do think there will be some point in the ramp where they will stop the limited-edition FS and move on to regular ole CyberTrucks. But if they wanted to increase the weekly order rate, they just have to send out more invitations. Order rate is some percentage of the invitations offered. If they invited 200,000 per week, order rate would greatly exceed production. I do not think they hope to sell 150,000 "limited edition" Foundation Series. To me, that's silly talk.

Does anyone know when Tesla is going to stop producing Foundation Series and go onto producing what was advertised 4 years ago. I believe Tesla proucted only 1000 of Signature Series for Model S. Are they plan to do the same so Foundation Series actually will become almost collectible item. Or would Elon continue to produce and sell for as long as people order Foundation Series?
Any ideas?
Once they have offered Foundation to all reservation holders they will start offering non Foundation. In my opinion anyway.

Once all reservation holders have passed on CyberBeast and Dual motor they will grudgingly build a few tens of thousands rear wheel drive trucks with a reduced feature set sometime in 2025 or 2026.

10k could be the number and still allow for a somewhat exclusive bunch. Also hping for free supercharging to added for us early adopters of Elon vision of what the future looks like. ? ?

Does anyone know when Tesla is going to stop producing Foundation Series

This question (op) comes up a lot, and is usually followed by a flood of unsupported speculation that fs invites are not limited (contrary to Tesla's own statements)

Data (invitations/orders) shows
FS is limited, possibly at around 15k.
Hope that helps

The Foundation Series will only be there while Tesla is working out their production quality and ramp issues. It’s a way to capture those who want it the most and are willing to pay a premium. Most of them will tolerate the early adopter pains that come with being first while they enjoy celebrity status

They are never going to sell what was unveiled in 11/2019. You can order an AWD or a CyberBeast, for the foreseeable future, as @cvalue13 has reminded us of many times. At some point they will be non-FS AWDs and CBs but those are the choices. You might say that the AWD is the same as the dual-motor Cybertruck that was mentioned in 11/2019 but that would not be strictly correct either. Payload has changed, range has changed, 4WS has been added, SBW has been added, the overhead light bar has been removed, the wing storage and ramp were removed, the 3rd front seat was removed, the bed length has been shortened, etc.

I for one hope that they continue with the FS series, and I do not think of them as collector's items at all; they are a way to get a Cybertruck earlier than later (and I guess be a guinea pig) and not much more.

So much for any theories that Tesla is any different than the old big auto companies morally. The the new car company smell and shine is gone.
I think that you belong on a GM forum. Tesla is nothing like the legacy automakers in just about any way.
