I need to know how much of the 72.92 inch bed length is given up by the 'slant in' on the cab end of the bed. The 72.92 inches is measured at the floor according to Tesla, not at the lowest bed height (tailgate end). Is the 'slant in' for the rear seat angle?

So yeah the slant in does seem to be for the angle of the back seats.

it starts about 5-6 inches from the bed.

Thanks.
Boy, that really reduces the advertised bed length.

Yeah def does. Let me see if I can find my tape measurer and get a length from the top of the slant to the tailgate. Wish me luck as I search the messy, chaotic black hole otherwise know as my workbench. ? BRB!

That means CT is kinda the same as the Lightning. It would only be shorter than the Silverado EV by 5 inches, but quite a bit longer than the R1T. Also that back area with the slant isn't useless, I hauled a bunch of wood last year and it would've went right into that spot. That's not a bad showing for the CT, the bed is in line with most extended cabs on the road.

I would say this the ā€˜angle’ is more for the deployment of the Tonneau cover…. I’m almost certain the seatbacks dont have that much angle inside as well. However the bend redius of the rail system is of utmost importance for smooth operation

Still a better execution that RIVIAN… But they also have the very cool Gear Tunnel..

What do you regularly haul in your current truck?
Two HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS trikes (ignore user pic, those are ICE trikes) folded in my F150 Powerboost. Would like to not fold them. CT would work if not for the 'slant'. Too bad.

Silverado EV is 65 W (50.6 between wheels wells), 71 L, 22.4 H.

Fits my trikes without folding even without going into the midgate.

Reduce trike down to <22.5 inches high max (is possible), would only need a tonneau cover, no topper.

I have a reservation for the First Edition and can order one starting today (at 105K).

Ah you may be right! I didn’t even think about that. The tonneau probably rolls up in the space…

Good call!

You can carry 4 double sheets of 1/2" gypsum board in the bed evenly stacked.
