We have no idea what the ramp and delivery process will look like for Cybertruck That said... Model 3 had around 450k reservations (btw, these were $1000 deposits, not $100 that anyone can throw around for the heck of it).

Of those 450k, over 200k were in the first day. Model 3 production started July 2017. It took 6 months to start delivering to non employees. They delivered just 1770 Model 3s in that last six months of 2017.

I had a reservation in the 20,000 range (I stood in line for 3.5 hours to place my deposit, sight unseen). That first car was delivered to me on March 31, 2018. It was VIN 8830. At this point 9,950 Model 3s total had been delivered, in 9 months of production.

By the end of June 2018, they were still delivering to day one reservation holders. At this point they had been in production one year and had delivered a total of 28,390 Model 3s, just over 1/10 of the day one reservations.

In July 2018, one year after production start, Tesla opened up ordering to everyone, INCLUDING people who didn't even reserve a Model 3! The reservation only mattered for those day one, pre reveal reservations, and even that, just barely made a difference.

I stood in line and was one of the first 20k and only got my car 5 months before people who didn't even reserve one. Cybertruck will likely be a little different, but you just never know if your place in line will mean anything at all.

Everyone on the reservation list for a Model 3 already had weeks (or months) to configure their order before they opened the configurator to those not on the list.

Some of the configurations were not available - such as the $35k version which would come out about six months later and last for eighteen months - weren't available to arrange for delivery yet.

Now every canyon I traverse I'm gonna have to be on the lookout for an exhaust port.
Essentially, Telsa took a foot off the front, moved the cab forward, gave 9" to the bed and chopped 3" off.
Hope you and I are right. Your calculation makes most sense to me. I agree 100% with you.

We're only a couple of months away from actual CT deliveries and we still can't confirm REAL pricing and ACTUAL features on these things. And NO ONE has even seen the frunk space?

By the way, like half of the features we were promised ON THE OFFICIAL TESLA PRESENTATION SLIDES are not even being delivered, truth.

This is bizarre.
I don't know, but someone better get to shteppin' on those Cyberquads, man.

Yeah, I have 2 tri-motor FSDs on order. I have put off purchasing a truck this year while waiting for pricing and some idea of what the final product will be. I am also looking at the F-150's. They don't have the vault (which I like), but they definitely are less stark inside. I am hoping Tesla offers some interior upgrades. I am fine with the exterior, in spite of the joke (Looks like a toaster and a DeLorean had sex and this was the result). I will also be curious to know about repair costs. Most auto body shops will not work on stainless. I had to search a bit to find one that would work on an aluminum body, and aluminum has been around for a long time.

Odd to make fun of a service that you are a member of, that you rely on for information, and that you are actually using in this very post. I mean, it just seems kind of not right.

On my keyboard, "i" and "o" are right next to each other

Maybe you're on a Dvorak?

LOL. No. But, once upon a long time ago, I switched to the Dvorak settings. I didn't change the actual keys but kept a piece of paper next to my computer to try it out. I didn't like it. But, apparently, I shut down my computer for the day without changing it back. End of day, shredded all the unneeded papers on my desk. Next day, it was an adventure trying to sign in and figure out my password without asking for help because I didn't want anyone to know about the idiotic thing I did to myself.

can I copy/paste your missive each time someone here posts an article from a source they then go on to critique?

disliking something and using it aren’t mutually exclusive

Did you dislike that post? Cause it's weird that you're using it 😂
